Description

A simple deisgn that is highly effective at evening out or flattening the dynamic volume range of your guitar tone before it reaches your amp. One of the team will be in contact with a rough ETA but we will endeavour to have your new guitar with you as quickly as possible.

Except for a few exceptions, if you saw a picture of it youd think the picture could have been taken at any point over the last 10 years. Generally speaking, I found that having the Dyna Comp before all of these pedals left the effects unaffected, and only impacted my tone, which is what I wanted.Made since the 1970s, the MXR Dyna Comp, which adds its own coloring to the tone, has become a frequently copied and widely used guitar effect, even a standard. I’m not looking for crazy ambient textures or wild sub-divided repeats, I just want a little subtle delay to thicken my sound and open it out a bit and the Carbon Copy does that perfectly. On the other hand, the noise brought by this comp is LOUD - I strongly recommend the use of a well tuned noise gate for any clean recording of subtle solos. It’s because when you add sensitivity, or the actual compression to the clean signal, it really tightens up the tone.

Drawing from one of the most popular compression pedals of all time, the vintage Dyna Comp, the MXR Dyna Comp Reissue is missing a few key components of the original -- but also offers some great modern updates.David Byrne often used a Dyna Comp at extremely compressed settings for his rhythmic and melodic lines with Talking Heads, with the effect being particularly notable during the outro of Drugs.
