Not a perfumers impressionistic interpretation of that scene, but a photorealistic olfactory sculpture of that scene.

I originally wasn't to sure when I read that many of these middle eastern fragrance need time for maceration, but now I'm a believer. This fragrance presents a beautiful yet linear scent profile; what you spray is exactly what you get. And after it dried down completely, which is the best stage in my opinion, it has a strong smell of vanilla and wood and a very sweet pleasant smell which i also got a massive amount of compliments from.The lack of color is felt as a loss, and it doesn't look or feel alive in the same way, but it is still art. I don't feel too sweet or intense, on my skin doesn't radiate too much after 15 minutes and lasting is about 3-4 hours, but can be suffocate the oud. Inspired by the Arabic words, ‘Latif’ for kindness and ‘Lateefa’ for pleasant, Lattafa resonates with the luxury and elegance of the Arabian culture and it vividly captures the essence of its glorious heritage in its captivating fragrance.

The composition of Privee Couture Collection Roses Vanille is brilliant in its simplicity and concurre. I got this because I am desperately looking for a long-lasting dupe of By The Fireplace and this is NOTHING like it. And the combination of temperature differences, long travel AND a lack of maceration (or just not long enough) in Arab perfumes makes sure you *could* - here too there are happy exceptions - initially miss out on top notes (always first to be damaged), sweet base notes, or just get a cloud of alcohol and then little else.So if u can just ignore the opening of this fragrance (it's very ambery strong and something a little weird, reminded me of Bentley Intense lmao) then I 100% recommend atleast trying it. BTF makes you feel like you enjoy a really nice Northern European evening, having a luxury dish, drinking vine among your most beloved friends next to a fireplace. when it comes to the comparison to BTF, gotta admit, drydown is way better here, also this one lasts longer. This has a large projection and if you walk into a room wearing it people are going to start looking around wondering if someone is burning incense. I have dry under-performing skin, but the "average" total performance--based on the ratings above--looks to be about 9 hours longevity and 2-3 hours solid projection.

I don't think I'd want my boyfriend to smell of it, and I wouldn't mind smelling of it but don't care for it. That said, BTF is one of the highest quality designers I've smelled out there, and while AAO can't meet that bar, it does smell verry verry pleasant. As time continues to pass, the labdanum and woody notes become more noticeable, so there's a hint of incense.I don't know what it smells like notes-wise other than sweet, salty, smokey and roasted, because it's very synthetic-smelling. Opens with a huge blast of harsh alcohol, never a concern to me though as it dissipates soon enough.

If you love the Lattafa fragrance and would like a flanker of it with more saltiness and smokiness, I recommend you By the Fireplace. A synthetic oud accord perhaps, but no oud 😉 I don't really smell anything too overtly oudy here, so if you hate that, you might not hate this.This fragrance here is a toned down, lighter, fresher, safer and more mass appealing version of BtF. The fragrance projects a long way without being over powering but I would use a moderate number of sprays.
