With the City Tour I no longer dread flights of stairs or have to work out step-free routes around London. The wheels are also lockable for longer distances and the front wheel suspension is noticeable, as it makes for a very smooth ride. The all-new lightweight design fits through most standard doorways and features an ultra-compact fold, making getting around town with two easier than ever. But there is no latch to keep the handle down once its folded AND when I purchased it last spring it did not come with a carry case.

The pushchair came in one pleasingly small box, neatly folded with just the wheels to add before use. You then grab the carry handle to pull the whole thing together and then attach the clasp to keep it shut.But then I noticed I kept the window open most of the time, so the toggle allowed me to keep its cover out of the way. Then you press a red safety button under the seat, which allows you to lift the in-seat fold strap to finish the fold. The wheels can be cleaned using a damp cloth and must be dried completely with a soft towel or cloth before use. Lifting the buggy up bumpy kerbs and onto buses was very easy and even with a weighty toddler on board, we were impressed by how easy it was to handle.

On first glimpse, I didn’t think the City Tour was as much of a looker as some of its competitors, although the Violet and Juniper colour options might add more of a wow factor than the black one I tested. The only think I would mention is that if you’re intending to go onto very bumpy or muddy ground, this probably isn’t the product for you.
