The stylish black/white picture frames have a perfect fit and are also easy to open at the back by means of supple buckles. Has some aspects in common with Coco Mademoiselle (the same sour patchouli), but it's more green, more sour, juicier and more perfume-y, mixing aspects of old-style perfumery with the simpler scents of the latest decades. It’s a nice warm scent suitable for colder weather but the patchouli note is just too strong for me.

I think this is duskier and smoother than Coco Mademoiselle, but I also think it's very much related. There was something very melancholy and just closed off about this one despite the yummy and elegant notes. The smoothness is much more of a factor here, and although it's a little heavier, the vanillic tones of everything keep Noir very soft, and more approachable. The representative sprayed a few sample on paper and handed me Blue Parfum, but I was instantly captivated by Coco Noir. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision.With that said, this DNA is not best suited for me, although my mom effortlessly rocks this as her signature scent and I love it on her. I disagree with the reviews mentioning bad lasting power, I can smell this on clothes days after I spray it. I used to feel more drawn to this, but with experience now I realize I like my fragrances with more character, especially if they cost quite a lot. Its drydown has an almost chewy, sweet tobacco resinous smell that still stays dry and never cloying. I adore Chanel fragrances, Coco Mademoiselle Intense being my favorite because it holds sentimental meaning to me (wedding scent), but Coco Noir is easily the 2nd runner up.

I feel like before I get into this blog post, I need to mention that I am a lover of all things fragrance.If you came hoping for something like the original Coco, there is not much overlap, as that is much more ambery and spicy than Coco Noir, but if you were after a more grown-up Coco Mlle, as I was, you will like this. Overall it smells clean and almost soapy on my skin; despite the name, it does not give ‘night’ or ‘dark’ vibes. Now I feel bright grapefruit notes, spices, some suede accord and a little bit of patchouli that I really like!
