Side 1, Big Sky has been changed, so it runs shorter I expect and fits on the remastered album better. It is a perfectly good remix for the radio/single, but loses some of the impact of the original album version.

The answer is no, it doesn't spoil or ruin the album as some people would have you believe and believe me it's in their heads if not the trees. The 80s production sharp edges on drums etc have presumably been smoothed down a bit in remastering, more in keeping with the production of her later albums. I can only say that I found this track to be one of the weaker tracks on the old version and listening now, it sounds so much better. Side 2 is home to the conceptual The Ninth Wave which was performed live on stage in its entirety during Kate’s Hammersmith Odeon residency in 2014 and, from Kate’s back catalogue, only the 1986 hits compilation The Whole Story has sold more copies in the UK than Hounds Of Love.

Bush weaves intricate tapestries of sound and imagery with songs that span the range of all emotion, from the most intimate to the most frightening. Waking the Witch' is bloody amazing, I love the beginning dialogues, and the last minute and a half!

The album includes the lead single and number on hit ‘Running up that Hill’, and also other hit singles such as ‘Cloudbusting’ and ‘Hounds of Love’. Do not put the solar panel closer then 10 cm from an artificial light source as this could cause heat damage to the solar panel. On a whim note, I found it surprising that the 'Running Up That Hill' music video never won any prestigious music video award!

Her style and material has always been unique, eccentric even, but Hounds of Love is probably the strongest mix of controlled musical experimentation and lyrical expression. Hounds Of Love remains the only Kate Bush studio album that has been expanded into any kind of ‘deluxe’ edition when in 1997 EMI issued a new CD edition as part of its Centenary celebrations with a modest six extra tracks. Interestingly, ‘The Big Sky’ is no longer indicated as the ‘single mix’ even though it must be, if they are using the 2018 version.
