It smells like a resinous branch from a tree in the woods, but still light because of the citrus note. I wanted to pick up the fragrance because I have heard great things about it and after owning it the fragrance does smell good, but as I said above this is the worst-performing fragrance I have ever bought.

Hope Al-Haramain doesn't/stops reformulating their fragrances, because I experienced some differences between batches, especially with L'Adventure Blanche (the Silver Mountain Water clone). I get a lemon sorbet vibe in the opening, and then it transitions to an herbal, woody, musky drydown. But if you want one Aventus clone, forget about this joke of a juice and get the Armaf Limited Edition. To those that say it doesn’t last try spraying on clothes as mine lasted the whole day but projected very close after a couple hours. Suprisingly however, that opening quickly transitions into a linear mid note scent which I'd describe as musky sweet and slightly woody with a touch of spice.There are mighty ribs of veal for two to share, while desserts are all about indulgence – so forget your diet and go straight for the crème brûlée, chocolate truffle, warm apple tart or the stinky French cheeses. Opening smells okayish, somewhere around the Aventus vein, but it is all lost within an hour, drying down into a weird synthetic powdery leather type of smell.

As the fragrance enters its dry-down, the initial citrus notes start to dissipate; the patchouli adds a soft green and sharp tone. I couldn't understand how so many people can preach about beast performance while others preach about no performance. The star of the show in both juices is the smooth fruity vanilla pineapple that stays throughout the life of the fragrance, accompanied by the alluring smoke in the base. I don’t love this, but not because it’s bad, actually this is propably the most well blended of all the clones.This one becomes very bitter, almost scaring away, which I think translates (misleading) into a smoky aspect for some people. Well, the Aventus I got just last month was definitely a weaker concentration than I got four years ago.

However on an EXACT side by side comparison L’Adventure completely blows Aventus out of the water now, in terms of a better more refined and stronger opening, and much stronger projection and much longer longevity.

But, after reading some reviews on L'Aventure, I decided to give another clone a shot, so I grabbed a bottle. I am pretty happy with longevity and silage, but I am not a great fan of the lemon note so I will not go for a full bottle.At this point, L'Adventure smells lovely, but it doesn't smell like my batches of Adventus (lacks the smokiness of my 2012 and the pineapple of my 2017). take Creed's Aventus, use lemony notes instead of smokey pineapple, and woody/nutty notes instead of a leathery birch note, and you pretty much have L'Aventure; a fresher take on the famed Aventus DNA, minus the spicy notes that some dupes have. Your hard work, your pain, your dedication and attitude are all encompassed beautifully in the rugged fragrance of L’Aventure.
