The ultimate leather care for cleaning and restoring Leather furniture, Classic car interiors, Bikers jackets, Leather Clothing, Equestrian Tack, Shoes, Bags and Cases.

Rhoose Point Remedies was established in 2020 when we saw a real need in the market for high quality, natural and organic skincare. Ingredients: beeswax, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, olive oil, hemp seed oil, coconut oil, vitamin E (to extend shelf life and prevent rancidity). Ingredients are broken down into three categories; solid, semi-solid and liquid and the ratio of each depends on the consistency of polish you are trying to create. It provides a crystal-clear, hard-wearing, non-greasy waterproof finish that allows the natural colour of the leather to shine through while locking-in the softening oils and emollients. Beeswax (Previously known as nature’s first plastics) is a versatile natural ingredient produced by baby honeybees, which has been used by people since ancient times.I have an old dark green leather 3 piece suite which is beginning to show its age, I bought a jar of Gilboys Leather Balsam to try on it and I am extremely pleased with the result . It will work on a lot of different materials, and not just leather, but always try it on a tiny bit of hidden area before using it on the whole item. Beeswax was the first fine wood finish in the time of the Pharaohs, and it’s just as beautiful now as it was then. Beeswax is not just for waterproofing boots; it also improves their durability by rejuvenating and hardening the leather.

Evidence of its use is traced back as far as ancient Egypt, where beeswax figurines have been found in tombs. Check out the bracelets in colourful cowhide, aromatic keyrings and keychains, leather wallets and coasters. As aluminium is resistant to corrosion, these tins are suitable for holding water-based products, and are perfect for wax or balm. The frequency of application of beeswax to leather depends on how often the leather is used and whether or not it is exposed to harmful conditions. Another ingredient is lanolin, a waxy substance derived from sheep wool for its moisturizing properties.Using beeswax-based shoe care products can remedy this, giving the leather a nice little boost in moisture. Ideally, the container should also be warmed beforehand by placing on a hot radiator to soften the contents. Ideal for full leather footwear that is regularly exposed to wet conditions, not suitable for dress footwear. natural formulation which blends beeswax, beef tallow and tea tree and eucalyptus oils to waterproof. Also, I like the idea of using a natural product rather than those containing paraffin and other petroleum by products.

Once the wax has been absorbed evenly into the fabric and dried, you can take your jacket or trousers out for their next adventure! A hand-stitched collar in fragrant cowhide decorated in shiny metal with a Staffordshire knot simply attracts the ladies. For the wax and oil mixture to work into the leather surface, we need the leather to be at least room temperature. I was able to work freely, getting a lot of the mixture onto my hands and simply rubbing it in to moisturise them.
