Description

Mercer and Burton made their official debut as Broken Bells in 2009, releasing their debut single, "The High Road," late that year. My Purple Opaque copy was whisper quiet and sounded wonderful on my Debut Carbon with Ortofon 2M Blue.

A. They took a different approach to working together than with their other projects: Burton avoided the sample-heavy style he used on The Grey Album and Beck's Modern Guilt, and played only live instruments; Mercer broadened his vocal style to include falsettos and deeper registers. There's surface noise and a few pops throughout the record and in between tracks, but not enough to punch through the music.

Product Description Standard: Broken Bells are back with their third full length album, INTO THE BLUE. Irgendwo angesiedelt zwischen Brit-Pop der 1990er Jahre und Einflüssen der 1960er und 70er Jahre klingt hier alles very britisch und weites gehend handgemacht. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Into The Blue, the new album from Broken Bells, features two of the biggest names in indie and alternative music - The Shins' James Mercer and producer / multi-instrumentalist Danger Mouse (Brian Burton). PRIMAVERA: THE BLAG INTRODUCTION It’s a massive understatement to say a lot has changed since we bought our ‘early bird’ tickets for Barcelona Primavera 2020 within a couple of weeks. However, they didn't start writing and recording together as a band until March 2008, when Mercer holed up in Burton's home studio in L.Following Meyrin Fields' release, the two halves of Broken Bells spent some time on other projects: Burton produced music for artists including Norah Jones and Portugal. In the late 2010s, the duo reconvened to release a succession of singles ahead of their third album. We're Not In Orbit Yet, possibly my favorite track on the album, has an almost Air like feel to it, but its unique feature are those Mercer lyrics. Another single, "Good Luck," arrived in September 2019 as they continued to work toward their next full-length. Vinyl is secured in gatefold packaging that features an exclusive foil overlay pink orb on the cover.
