When the 'markers' were nothing like what he saw, he passed them off as symbolic and marveled at how correct they were.

I’m quite interested in OOBE’s, since I have had the beginning stages happen to me many times, but I’ve blocked them out of fear of the unknown. the very useful descriptions of how to achieve the out of body state, the many experiences shared of what happened, where he went, what he saw . El Escenario II que es el lugar común del alma (si se podría llamar así) donde aparecen otros seres y donde todo se basa en la relación existente entre el pensamiento – acción. I would make a rough estimate that between 90 and 95 per cent of the people who have this experience are very glad it occurred and find it joyful, while 5 per cent are very frightened by it, for the only way they can interpret it, while it is happening, is that they are dying.

Locale II “seems to interpenetrate our physical world, yet spans limitless reaches beyond comprehension”. Robert later went on to found the Monroe Institute, one of the the leading authorities of out of body experiences in the world today. The first thing to know about the author of "Journeys Out of the Body" is about methodical exploration. Me cuesta hablar puramente del libro porque lo leí precisamente para entender mejor el porqué de este tema.

There are some important exceptions to this general put-down of dreams, but for the vast majority of people in our society today, dreams are not things that serious people concern themselves with. All of this provided sufficient proof of a second body and its ability to move independently from his physical body.To apply it to visits to George’s house or other physical destinations is like asking a diver to swim down to the ocean bed without scuba gear or pressure suit. Locale 3 is a separate realm that is much like Locale 1, except that its geography, technology, and societies are different from the ones we know: they're like "alternative history" versions of our world. Perhaps that is why some of the other authors' books lack specific details, maybe they assume people have started with Robert Monroe's books. Despite what modern science tells us, a phenomenon of going out of a physical body was known for many centuries to those who were interested.

Unpredictably, and without his willing it, Monroe found himself leaving his physical body to travel via a "second body" to locales far removed from the physical and spiritual realities of his life.It very much reminded me of some of the writings of Cayce in which he talked about his abilities and experiences in a very matter of fact way. Some of his voyages to me suggested another plane where we're all unconsciously conversing with one another. The book wasn’t what I expected, two thirds of the book are just journals describing different stories which doesn’t really tell me anything. It is the closest thing (I’ve read so far) to a 1950’s-70’s era scientist applying scientific method to something ultimately denied by the scientific community. Monroe drew some extraordinary conclusions from what he thought of as his prescient dreams/experiences.
