Description

I absolutely love Pixi's Glow Tonic which is essentially a 5% glycolic acid toner which is renowned for gently exfoliating the skin, brightening the complexion and restoring its natural glow. Well i’ve been using them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them. A perfect way to moisturise sensitive Skin, this delicate Oil will leave you smelling and feeling incredible. Glycolic acid really dries my skin out but lactic acid seems to agree with it much more, even the cheaper ones formulated with hyaluronic acid like Inkey List and The Ordinary are very good. Once again, five per cent glycolic acid is second after aqua in the formulation and, after a quick scan of the full ingredients list, we did notice that aloe vera is further down the list, while glycerin holds a similar place in the formula line-up.

Other tasks include helping the product to absorb faster and deeper into the skin (penetration enhancer), making the product spread nicely over the skin (slip agent), and attracting water (humectant) into the skin.I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing and radiant for at least an entire day after I had used it. I was once again browsing the beloved middle aisle with a fine-toothed comb to see what bargains and dupes I could sniff out; it was there that I saw this absolutely blatant dupe for the Pixi Rose Tonic – the Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Toner! Shedding some light into this complex condition is Dr Catherine Borysiewicz, an experienced consultant dermatologist within the NHS. Suitable for use in the morning and at night, we unscrewed the lid and swept the liquid across our skin with a reusable make-up remover pad after cleansing. You can use the oil either by applying a few drops directly onto your face after cleansing and toning or you can mix a couple drops with your moisturiser for maximum hydration.

Meanwhile, Lacura’s healthy glow glycolic toner has a very similar bottle and ingredients list and balanced out our skin tone after a few week’s use. Sometimes we even applied the glow tonic on alternative days, depending on how our skin was feeling. From the sell out Hot Cloth range, this new Hot Cloth Cleanser with Vitamin C helps to visibly brighten and awaken Skin. It smells like rose and can be found in rose oil or in small quantities in geranium, lemon and many other essential oils. This miracle oil a dupe of the highly praised but super expensive, Elizabeth Arden All Over Miracle Oil. Hey everyone, I’m coming at you with another Aldi dupe (check out my Aldi ABH Norvina palette dupe post if you haven’t already) for this week’s beauty post; this time, it’s a skincare one! I hope you enjoyed reading my review of this product; if you did, make sure you’re following me on here and on social media to stay up to date with when I post.

Awaken dull and grey Skin with a quick treatment from this Cleanser and watch the compliments roll in. Aqua, Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Betaine, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Allantoin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Benzophenone-4, Disodium EDTA, Parfum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Linalool, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Caramel, CI 14700. I popped in recently and couldn’t resist picking up what was obviously their dupe of Pixi Rose Toner; Lacura Healthy Glow. It can be used in many types of formulations as it has great thermal stability (can be heated up to 85°C) and works on a wide range of pH levels (ph 3-10).Aldi is becoming known for their dupes of market faves; From food and drink products like Topaz Blue Gin and suspiciously familiar chocolate bars, to Jo Malone candles and now a whole host of beauty products. I also love that you get a good amount of product within a bottle which means that I will have enough to last me a long while. I didn’t think that the Lacura Healthy Glow Tonic would do this but to my pleasant surprise, it does exactly the same. We unscrewed the twist-off lid and dotted some liquid onto a make-up remover pad before swiping it over our face and décolleté.

Said to brighten your complexion, the Lacura Rose Glow Toner can be applied with a cotton pad and swept over the face and neck every morning and evening after cleansing. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

However, as someone who used to use the Glow Tonic religiously, I can definitely compare the quality of the products.
