Although it's more of an advertisement for the PGD Tracker than an unbiased comparison, the vide has some informational value.

Every innovation at OM SYSTEM is designed to deliver the highest quality of performance in a compact, lightweight. I know the point of the dot sight is to not use the viewfinder, but I also noticed it on my back screen as well. g. I tend to switch to dynamic group AF with my Nikons rather than a dynamic single point AF mode I most often use. Now look at the EE-1 and move the red dot until it sits on the same reference point as the centre of your composition. Put the camera on a tripod, select the smallest focussing point you can and then focus on a subject at least 50 metres away. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions.

Infine aggiungo che il costo non è esagerato considerando che l'unica alternativa mi pare sia solo il Nikon che costa il doppio. You'll be able to tell whether your aim is right on target or slightly off without looking through the camera's viewfinder or using the monitor. But on initial inspection I am pleased with the camera received (only opened box as yet and not tested). I have managed to get a tight fit on the rx10 hotshoe, by the simple means of a thin piece of card cut to the shape of the hotshoe cover.

You’ll be able to tell whether your aim is right on target or slightly off without looking through the camera’s viewfinder or using the monitor.

If you have a zoom lens, I would speculate that you would need to calibrate it at the longest focal length. No experience of the Photo gear one but there are quite a lot of others around with very similar designs and less money. They mention that it needs careful calibration, the small calibration thumbwheels are difficult to turn, and the site needs aligning or calibrating before use to match its performance to your lens. With the EE-1 you can take pictures while putting some distance between yourself and the camera and keeping an eye on what’s happening around your frame, something an EVF won’t allow you to do. The goal is to keep the red dot on your subject so that it stays at the centre of the frame but it takes a little bit of practice to track fast moving subjects perfectly. David, I have edited in image links since I made the first post - you may have missed them when replying to my initial post.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. However, setting it up while holding the camera would more uncomfortable because you can’t maintain a precise composition and work with the dials at the same time (especially with a long lens). without the dot sight, this gull was too fast moving around me and I was not able to capture any photo in focus: for the AF-C Tracking system to lock reliably on it, I needed to track the bird for approx 1 sec, and I was losing it anyway in my EVF. With two setting buttons, I made sure that the center of my viewfinder exactly aligned with the position of the red dot.I did, however, wonder whether the video I saw was correct in claiming that you need to configure it whenever focal length changes.
