In 2017, Foxy co-authored a book SAS: Who Dares Wins: Leadership Secrets from the Special Forces [7], with his fellow TV presenters and Special Forces soldiers Anthony Middleton, Matthew "Ollie" Ollerton and Colin Maclachlan. I was physically ready but all the mundane stuff hit me hard: washing, ironing, folding clothes and getting ready on time. Jason Fox has a story or two to tell. He is a man who has experienced a lot in life – composing through extreme jobs in his British Army roles as well as a simple guy from England living his own life – Jason has a lot to say.

Off-screen, Jason has undertaken several charity challenges including a record-breaking row across the Atlantic with Team Essence and walking to the North Pole with Will Greenwood MBE and Alan Chambers MBE. In the book, Foxy also talks about his recovery and how he spent a lot of time having sessions with therapist Dr Alexandra Lagaisse somewhere in the woods in Devon. SAS Star Jason Fox Would Have 'Probably' Killed Himself If He Hadn't Received Help With Mental Health". LADbible. Jason co-authored his first book in 2017 SAS: Who Dares Wins: Leadership Secrets from the Special Forces with his fellow TV presenters and special forces colleagues Antony Middleton, Matthew Ollerton and Colin Maclachlan. And SAS: Who Dares Wins star Jason, known as Foxy, reveals he even feared the American comedian was going to die as he got confused over a safety harness during another stunt on a high wire.Having said that, Mr. Fox also seems to be a terrible father/partner. He goes through relationships in a manner that at least seems as hectic as his life in the SBS, first one partner and then another and then another. He has a daughter with his wife, the daughter has medical problems, but that is all we ever hear about her. Is he involved in her life? Does he carry out his fatherly duties as he wrestles with PTSD? Does he have any relationship at all with her? The reader will not know after they read this book. He has a second daughter with another partner and that is the last you hear of that daughter. For all I know, Mr. Fox may be the world's greatest father, but from reading this book, his daughters come across as an afterthought. In his book Battle Scars, Jason said his experience with mental health issues very nearly killed him and in Spring 2013 he nearly made a disastrous decision.

Joining at 16 and serving for 20 years; Jason passed the gruelling selection process for the Special Forces, serving with the Special Boat Service. Born on a Missouri Air Base while his US Marine father was fighting in Vietnam, Reyes has military blood in his veins. After his parents divorced, he grew up in a children’s home, where he learned to fight to protect his brother. A decorated martial artist and student of Buddhism, Reyes joined the United States Marine Corps at 26-years-old and went on to become an elite Recon Marine – a training so tough that 23 fellow recruits died during the training process. “I’m a scout sniper, I do amphibious raids, helicopter raids, vehicle insertion raids, mountain warfare,” he explains. “I’m a combat diver, I’m a paratrooper, I’m an explosives expert, desertsurvival, arctic survival, and then we go through SERE [survival, evasion, resistance, escape] school as well, to protect ourselves if we're caught behind enemy lines.”Jason Fox spoke at our Company Conference. He was humble, yet inspiring, and managed to keep the audience’s attention throughout his whole talk. He stimulated more questions from the team than we have ever had before for a speaker. I would highly recommend him to businesses who want to inspire their team on teamwork, resilience and positive mental attitude” - Hasbro He admits: “That’s another thing that will take me out my comfort zone. It’ll be so different with me droning on about my life.” Jason first ventured into the world of TV in 2015 when the debut series of SAS: Who Dares Wins aired on Channel 4, but despite finding fame overnight, he tends to keep out of the spotlight.

After more than two decades of active duty, Foxy was diagnosed with complex PTSD, forcing him to leave the military brotherhood and confront the hard reality of what follows. What happens when you become your own enemy? How do you keep on fighting when life itself no longer feels worth fighting for? When asked how she feels about his fame, he replies: “She takes it all in her stride. When she watched this Channel 4 documentary with me, she was like, ‘Wow, I am watching a programme of you being you.’” As part of his service, Jason planned and led operations including hostage rescue, counter terrorism, counter insurgency, maritime counter terrorism, surveillance, body guarding and counter narcotic missions. Fox, with his co-star of SAS: Who Dares Wins, Ollie Ollerton, co-founded a corporate team building, training and events company. In 2019, Fox and Ollerton went on to launch the fitness and wellbeing app Battle Ready 360 – which focuses on personalised plans for individuals looking to balance mind, body and nutrition. Fox, with his buddy of many years and co-star of SAS: Who Dares Wins Ollie Ollerton, co-founded Break Point – a corporate team building, training and events company. In 2019 Fox and Ollerton went on to launch a fitness and wellbeing app Battle Ready 360 – which focuses on personalised plans for individuals looking to balance mind, body and nutrition. Outside of his military career, some of Foxy’s bigger adventures include rowing across the Atlantic ocean from Lagos, Portugal to Macuro, Venezuela in 2016 with four of his mates Aldo Kane, Matthew Bennett, Ross Johnson and Oliver Bailey. Known as Team Essence, their expedition [13] took the crew 50 days over 3,308 nautical miles, and landed them the records for becoming the first team to row unsupported, crossing the Atlantic Ocean from east to west - from mainland Europe to South America, non-stop from mainland to mainland. Across the journey Team Essence also raised money for the NSPCC. She’s got her own definition of discipline rattling around in her brain and it’s not the military sense of the word. The show is about pushing yourself. What’s your limit?

My spirit was crushed and the resolve I'd shown throughout my toughest moments in jungle training, or during the harshest of battles, retreated. His second book Life Under Fire: How to Build Inner Strength and Thrive Under Pressure [9] is due to be released October 15 2020. Later in the book Foxy also recalls how on another occasion he had called up a Sodexo colleague called Debbie saying he was planning to kill himself. No, it’s even worse — I had to write it! Why did you follow your dad into the Royal Marines? I grew up in not the nicest place and was pretty rubbish at school. Fox is one of the original presenters and directing staff on SAS: Who Dares Wins, a reality television programme where contestants experience a gruelling training course loosely based on a condensed version of the special forces selection process. Fox stars alongside former special forces soldiers Ant Middleton, Matthew ‘Ollie’ Ollerton, Mark ‘Billy’ Billington, and Jay Morton. The programme first broadcast in 2015 is produced by Channel 4, and aired its fifth season in February 2020. In 2019 the first season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins aired which also stars Fox. When Fox talks about his stories about life in the warzones, you do not feel disconnected from the overall principle of this book & it’s messages of how we can all change! Instead, the addition of personal stories - that are then represented in other life situations we may be more familiar with - you are taken more deeply into this book. Jason Fox delivers expertly a contrast of his own gripping stories & making them relatable to us readers unfamiliar with the thrill-seeking & dangerous scenarios this man has been in.
