Description

The battery life of the parent unit is great, lasting about 8 hours in our testing (with the screen on about half the time, and brightness at 50%). ALWAYS STAY CONNECTED: View the live feed from the baby camera from either the large 5" wireless baby monitor screen with long range upto 1000 ft, or your smartphone with WiFi to always stay connected to your little one and keep an eye on them from anywhere. Utilize the split screen function to view both cameras at once.

Yes, with a white plastic parent unit and camera, the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud can easily be wiped down with a damp cloth to clean as and when required. Is the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud good value for money? The Hubble offers two-way talk both via the app and the main parent unit, meaning you can easily communicate with your baby if they wake during the night. How about the signal? The balance of the original warranty or for Ninety (90) days from the date returned to the consumer, whichever is longer. Our parent tested found the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud worked well. Whilst the parent unit is fairly basic it has all the key information she needed, with an intuitive interface that is easy to use. Does the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud have any extra features? A bonus is that the buttons and menus are way easier to use than the touch screen on the Nursery Pal Deluxe. The downfall is that the camera isn't quite as good as the one included with the Deluxe model, there is no flashlight feature on the parent unit, and the reception range wasn't quite as good as with the deluxe. How about the signal?

Full disclosure: Binatone North America, Inc., the manufacturer of the Hubble Connected devices, was generous enough to provide us with three free samples for testing. The crib mounting system is awesome and flexible in its attachment and positioning methods. It keeps a great view while also keeping it out of reach of your child. Finally, this camera comes with a nifty little three-leg (tripod-like) stand that is flexible and you can use it to attach to nearly anything. Update: After writing this review, a customer service manager reached out to us and was able to get a replacement unit sent. They then asked us to remove this review completely. I will not entire remove it, but I'll update to give 3 stars instead of two and soften the language too. The Nursery Pal Deluxe has a strong set of features. We've already covered the fact that you can stream video and audio to the parent unit and/or to your mobile device with the HubbleClub app, which is super convenient.

MONITOR YOUR CHILD IN HD VIDEO: The HD camera unit gives parents a live video feed of their baby on their smartphone via the HubbleClub app and features a built-in 7-color night light, preloaded lullabies, soothing sounds, and bedtime stories, as well as a room temperature sensor to ensure that baby feels safe and comfortable. For those reasons, you want the screen to be bright and high resolution, the night vision to be clear and crisp, the interface to be intuitive and easy, and the battery life and range to be excellent. The parent unit is what you'll spend most time looking at, carrying around the house, and fiddling with in the middle of the night. Second is that it can also attach to the tall crib arm and give you a perfect overhead view of your little one in their crib. This is similar to the way the old Motorola Halo+ baby monitors worked, but better.

Health

This is probably a good time to point out the annoying HubbleClub Premium ads that will intermittently pop-up on your app. Super annoying - our advice for their software developers is to stop displaying ads once the user declines, and simply provide an upgrade button in the corner. In the above photo, you can also see that there is a small menu bar at the bottom of the screen. When you swipe up at the bottom center, a low profile menu will pop up onto the screen. Here is a photo of the menu at the bottom of the screen: According to Which? testing, you can expect around six hours battery life from the parent unit when fully charged. It will also notify you when there is around 30 minutes of battery power remaining, providing plenty of time for you to plug it in long before it runs out of charge. How does the Hubble Nursery Pal Cloud look? Most parents don't have time to read through this entire article, so here is a summary of what we found. The app also includes built in music, motion detection and a room temperature sensor. Catherine says “ The thermometer is useful to see if the nursery has become too hot or cold, but it does tend to read rather higher than the actual temperature.”

We also already listed the primary features up above in our list, so you should be familiar with those already. This is a good time to point out that Hubble Connected makes additional baby gear that is compatible with the HubbleClub app, including a changing table and digital scale. Overall, we think the first bullet is what makes the HubbleClub app so convenient. You can be away from home or simply away from the parent unit and still live-stream video and audio of your child's nursery. This is great for working parents (or during date night!) who want to keep up with what's going on at home with their baby and his or her caregiver. Lucy developed a real passion for blogging and writing when her children were young, and has used and reviewed a number of baby monitors with her daughters, testing key features to ensure quality and value for money. For example, tap the one that looks like the sun and you can change screen brightness. Tap the magnifying glass and you can zoom in. Tap the play icon and you can select from lullabies, stories, or your own recordings to play to your baby (through a speaker on the camera). Tap the flashlight button to use the parent unit to find those fallen pacifiers! You get the picture!Use of other 2.4GHz products, such as wireless networks (Wi-Fi routers), Bluetooth® systems, or microwave ovens, may cause interference with this product, so keep the baby monitor away at least 5ft (1.5m) from these types of products, or turn them off if they appear be causing interference. The same goes for fans or white-noise machines.

The signal strength may also be reduced by other solid structures, like walls, plumbing, heating and air conditioning ducts, electrical wires, or by radio or electrical equipment, such as TVs, computers, cordless or mobile phones, fluorescent lights or dimmer switches. In multi-story homes, homes with a basement, and multi- unit homes such as apartments plumbing, heating and air conditioning ducts, and electrical wires between floors will also reduce signal strength. Hubble recommend that the parent unit is charged for around four hours before use, however it does come with some initial charge - Catherine found that the parent unit switched on straight away and that the menu was relatively self-explanatory and simple to navigate. The HubbleClub app makes it possible to stream video from the baby monitor camera directly to your smart phone, no matter where you are (as long as you have a decent signal!).
