Description

Pirinase Allergy Nasal Spray 120 Sprays contains 0.05% w/w of fluticasone propionate that works in a similar way to the body's natural anti-inflammatory chemicals to help prevent & relieve symptoms of airborne allergens throughout the day. Relieve allergy symptoms where they start with Pirinase Allergy Nasal Sprays direct action. There is inadequate evidence of the safety of fluticasone propionate in human pregnancy. Administration of corticosteroids to pregnant animals can cause abnormalities of foetal development, including cleft palate and intra-uterine growth retardation. There may therefore be a very small risk of such effects in the human foetus. It should be noted however that the foetal changes in animals occur after relatively high systemic exposure; direct intranasal application ensures minimal systemic exposure. As with other drugs the use of this medicine during human pregnancy requires that the possible benefits of the drug be weighed against the possible hazards. If your symptoms are very bad you can use two sprays in each nostril twice a day to begin with, and then reduce to once a day once your symptoms have improved. This is particularly important if you are or have recently been using any other medicines that contain corticosteroids, for example tablets, injections, eye or nose drops, creams, asthma inhalers, or other similar nasal sprays. There may be a higher risk of side effects if you're using more than one type of steroid medication - you may need to be monitored by your doctor. Pirinase is a nasal spray which helps provide relief for the symptoms of hay fever where they start. When you're outside allergens enter your body. Your body reacts by releasing 6 key substances.

If corticosteroid nasal sprays are used in high doses for long periods of time, they do have the potential to cause side effects similar to those associated with corticosteroids taken by mouth, such as Cushing's syndrome, adrenal suppression and mental health problems. However, these types of side effect are extremely unlikely to occur with this nasal spray, because the amount of fluticasone absorbed into the bloodstream from the nose is very low. As a precaution, the lowest effective dose needed to control your symptoms should always be used, and for the shortest possible time. The full benefit of fluticasone propionate aqueous nasal spray may not be achieved until treatment has been administered for several days. Cataracts, raised pressure in the eye or glaucoma. Tell your doctor if you notice any changes in your vision while using Pirinase nasal spray.

Hypersensitivity reactions, anaphylaxis/anaphylactic reactions, bronchospasm, skin rash, oedema of the face or tongue

If your symptoms last for more than seven days despite using Pirinase, get medical advice from your doctor. Under normal circumstances, low plasma concentrations of fluticasone propionate are achieved after intranasal dosing, due to extensive first pass metabolism and high systemic clearance mediated by cytochrome P450 3A4 in the gut and liver. Hence, clinically significant drug interactions mediated by fluticasone propionate are unlikely. It's fine to use Pirinase nasal spray alongside antihistamine tablets or decongestant nasal sprays if you need to, and it's also fine to take non-prescription painkillers such as paracetamol, ibuprofen or co-codamol while you're using it, assuming all these are appropriate for you.

Significant interactions between fluticasone propionate and potent inhibitors of the cytochrome P450 3A4 system, e.g. protease inhibitors, such as ritonavir, and cobicstat may occur. This may result in increased systemic exposure to fluticasone propionate. Lots of people think that nasal sprays are only for nasal symptoms-but with Pirinase this is not the case. Pirinase not only treats nasal symptoms but also the itchy, watery eyes and that congested feeling that are common symptoms of hay fever. Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways. The following are some of the side effects known to be associated with Pirinase. Just because a side effect is stated here doesn't mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect. Very common Pirinase side effects

Pirinase allergy nasal spray and Pirinase hayfever relief for adults nasal spray both contain the active ingredient fluticasone propionate, 50 micrograms per spray. Fluticasone is a type of medicine known as a corticosteroid (or steroid).

Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, hives or swelling of the face or tongue. Stop using this nasal spray and get medical advice if you think you've had an allergic reaction to it.

Steroids closely copy the effects of hormones normally produced by the adrenal glands, which are 2 small glands above the kidneys. Here's everything you need to know about Pirinase nasal spray, including how it works, who shouldn't use it and the potential side effects: How does Pirinase nasal spray work? Distribution: Fluticasone propionate has a large volume of distribution at steady-state (approximately 318L). Plasma protein binding is moderately high (91%). If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the one you missed. Treatment with higher than recommended doses of nasal corticosteroids may result in clinically significant adrenal suppression. If there is evidence of higher than recommended doses being used then additional systemic corticosteroid cover should be considered during periods of stress or elective surgery.Steroid nasal sprays do not usually cause any significant side effects if used correctly and at normal doses. It's important to use your spray regularly, even if you're feeling better. It will only help if it's used every day. If you miss a dose or take too much They can be used to treat a range of conditions, including hay fever, sinusitis, non-allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps. Steroid nasal sprays, also called corticosteroid nasal sprays, are anti-inflammatory medicines that you spray into your nose.
