Floor Cleaning—Application To test a spin mop’s ability to clean an open floor, we tested each mop in a 10-foot-by-10-foot area. We noted how even each mop applied its cleaning liquid, the total coverage each mop applied with one pass, and how easy it was to move the microfiber mop head. To make testing consistent, we used the same 10-foot-by-10-foot area for each spin mop. Wringing Efficiency Battery life: Look for models with a runtime of at least 90 minutes on a single charge. Most robot mops now recharge and resume cleaning to finish the job if the battery starts to run low mid-cleaning. If you have a large home, this is an especially important feature to look out for.
