How in the world does that even make the least bit sense? Sure, they sprout off some mumbo-jumbo about brain patterns due to decision-making skills but even I can smell that bull. Finally we know how Thomas ended up there, how he firstly met his friends and especially how he met Teresa. I should warn you, though...it wouldn't be a Dashner book without a few moments that make you go all... Alby (book1, 5) is the first-in-command and leader of the Gladers. He is named after Albert Einstein. His subject number is A6.

CONTAINS SOME MINOR SPOILERS FROM DOWN HERE. Major spoilers if you haven’t read the other books in “The Maze Runner” series!!!! If you finished this, I genuinely pray for the immaculate number of brain cells that you lost doing so. You would do better banging your head against a wall repeatedly. But also thank you so much!! See you on the next one!! ANYWAYS!!!!! I really loved everything about this book, from the characters to the Maze Trials creating, to the getting dumped on by everybody, to the... 👿 end..... I HATE YOU, JAMES DASHNER!!!!! I HOPE YOU STUB YOUR TOE TTHHRREEE TTTIIMMMEESSSS!!!!!!!!!! Wentz, Brook (January 29, 2015). " 'The Maze Runner' sequel 'The Scorch Trials' officially wraps filming". Hypable . Retrieved January 29, 2015. Next when Teresa says she wonders what it will be like having her memory swiped in the prolouge: when reading this, first onemight think she's foreshadowing her own memory swipe, but when rereading it after finishing the book it just sounds like her stating a curiosity. Knowing she will never get a memory swipe she wonders how it must be for the others.A few months after the Purge, Thomas is sent to a desert called "the Scorch" to test a Flat Trans, a teleportation device, and is introduced to Jorge and Brenda, who indirectly reveal that the Gladers must go through the Scorch as the second phase of the Trials. Thomas has come to believe that a cure will never be possible, feels that his friends are then suffering unnecessarily, and vows to save them. and that Newt was ready to follow him anywhere, even if it meant dying or losing himself to the virus, and that he did follow Thomas without hesitation, which did lead to Newt’s demise that Thomas was trying so hard to prevent from happening in the first place,

Thomas begins to watch his friends covertly through the "Beetle blades", and sees one of the boys, George, suddenly go crazy and try to kill his friends, only to be killed by Alby. Dr. Ava Paige explains what happened to George, revealing that the Grievers have a virus similar to the Flare and places the cure for it among the Box of supplies, although the cure is at its early stages. Don’t miss The Maze Runner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure all now major motion pictures from Twentieth Century Fox, starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito, and Aidan Gillen. And look for James Dashner’s new bestselling series the Mortality Doctrine: The Eye of Minds, The Rule of Thoughts, and The Game of Lives.

A] mysterious survival saga that passionate fans describe as a fusion of Lord of the Flies, The Hunger Games, and Lost. "— EW

However, the next morning Paige drugged Thomas with a cup of tea. As he slipped into unconsciousness, Paige told him that he was too trusting. She also admitted to him that it was she who had unleashed the Flare on the former chancellor and the nineteen others, all because they had disagreed with her vision for the Trials. Now a disease of rage and lunacy races across the eastern United States, and there's something suspicious about its origin. Worse yet, it's mutating, and all evidence suggests that it will bring humanity to its knees. Alec flies the Berg to the outskirts of Asheville, where the Cranks are in the street and houses. They land nearby and sneak behind some houses. When they get to the main street, they decide to start searching the homes for the girls. They eventually find Lana being pulled by her feet out from a mansion and onto the sidewalk. The Cranks begin stabbing Lana, so Mark and Alec vaporize them. Alec vaporizes Lana out of mercy. Besides Thomas’s daily classes and tests there were also some scenes about Thomas building friendships with the Gladers. I enjoyed reading about Thomas building the friendships and how cute and innocent they were as little children. But I don’t understand the purpose of letting them run in the hallways when they weren’t allowed? Was that also a test? I just don’t understand!? But I liked reading about Thomas, Teresa and the others as children. Five year old Thomas and Teresa, cuteeeee. Newt (books1–3, 5–6) is a British GroupA Glader and Alby's second-in-command. He has a slight limp from attempting suicide when he was a Runner. Newt is named after Sir Isaac Newton. He is the brother of Sonya, a girl in Group B, who he called Lizzy. His subject number is A5, and his title is "the glue". [12]For an ardent dystopian fan such as myself, ‘The Maze Runner’ series is the gift that keeps on giving. Not only are there three books in the original trilogy, but two full-length prequel novels. I loved how the group sneaks around the building to discover and learn new things (and get in trouble lol)
