and im still living in my delusional era rooting for Landon and Jeremy, okay. don’t try to dissuade me. im too far gone at this point, all hope is lost. don’t crush my dreams!! Cecily and her fugly shirts can step aside :) Creighton’s (20) a silent grump, one who doesn’t socialize as much or have social media. He barely even talks. He was adopted by King Aiden 🥰 and Elsa when he was 3, yet he still has emotional scars from those traumatic years he was with his birth parents. He’s obsessed with eating and sleeping, until he starts to look at Annika in a different way 👀. He was just absolutely intriguing, amazing with a big J/P tag in his forehead. I was not prepared for this! less telling more showing. Come on!! Let me see what’s happening please, especially when it comes to the relationship growth of the characters! I hate the whole “weeks pass and this is what happened” scenes 😑. Many of these were sweet ones! As in, both Creighton and Anni being an actual couple. Sigh 😏 Creigh and Anni served the grumpysunshine, he doesn't talk & she doesn't shut up SO FLIPPING GOOD. Their story did not go where I thought it was going to AT ALL which I LOVED cause I hate when I can predict the story and twists and whatnot.

I didn’t notice the post-colon title until writing this review; it is not just a “Legacy of Gods” book, but God of Pain is also a “grumpy sunshine college romance.” It makes it sound a bit sweeter than it actually is, and lord knows that Cray Cray was portrayed as a nearly mute grunter in the last book, so I was pleased to see he had a bit more going on than just Oscar living in the trash can in his head….I had been so desperate for Anni’s story because her parents are my favorite Rina couple ever, but then she goes and pairs Anni with another favorite couple’s son- and while our prior pair had some of the worst of their parents’ characteristics, these two ended up more with soft and tender hearts of their mothers’. This couple is everything! A sweet, grumpy sunshine on the surface with a more hidden submissive-sadist connection - they are so delicious! The chemistry is just so great- I love how they bring each other out in their own ways. Creighton makes Anni more independent and brave and self-assured, and she makes him feel lighter and more content. And I love the juxtaposition of their world and their sexual tastes with actually how innocent and sweet their relationship is. Like she’s so in love with him and so vulnerable about it, and he’s so obsessed with her and over the top and it’s kinda sweet and super swoony. They are just SO endearing and compelling together. Rina Kent really stepped up with the second instalment of this series and no one could be happier than me. the previous book was such a disappointment and when it was revealed this was Creigh and Anni’s book... i needed it to be better, and it was. You win, little purple....All of me. My heart, body, and soul are yours. My grudge is also yours to do whatever you wish with.... “I lost to you a long time ago. I love you, Annika. I love you to the point I see darkness without you and light only when I’m with you. You’re my sanctuary and the one person who makes me whole.” ❞ I am obsessed! This is literally one of my favorite books of the RK world- I just adored it. It’s just such a compelling and addictive story- the character arcs, the drama, the intricate ways the secondary characters come into play, the chemistry. But most of all, it’s surprisingly sweet, Rina’s most darkly swoony with some epically romantic Romeo and Juliet vibes.

The one between Adrian&Eli or Adrian&Creighton?🥵 THOSE SCENES WERE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE BOOK I really liked creig's voice especially when he says small purple, I'm not going to lie and I'm going to confess that I didn't like the voice of the actress who plays annika, not that the actress doesn't do a good job because yes she's amazing more for feeling that doesn't suit annika. I grab him by the collar and use the last breaths in my lungs to choke out, “T-tell…Mum and…Dad…t-that I-I’m sorry…”Aidan really rivals Asher as the worst dad in the second gen series. Aidan mentioned here that him and Asher are actually good friends and i had a eureka moment— like woahhh that makes so much sense, you guys must sit and bond over being the shittiest dads to ever exist!<3
