It's a great size and the extra space it gives is really fantastic. There is room for my entire kitchen outside in the porch plus 2 fold up chairs to sit in. If the porch was better designed then it would be almost a no-brainer. As others have mentioned there are no fixing points in the centre of the porch and this means that the material flaps around and lets wind in. It really does need those additoinal fixing points. Next season I may even put in a couple of eyelets and bands myself.

The four double bedrooms mean us grown ups get a room, the kids get a room each plus we have a 'dressing' room to keep our clothes in. On colder trips we take one of the internal dividing curtains down and all sleep in one big bedroom This tent is a palace. It has little touches we were looking for like meshes on the doors (bugs out, breeze in), central hook for a lantern, lots of space and a bedroom big enough for a queen-size blow up bed. I bought this as part of the Kalahari Elite 8 bundle. Love the tent - it's amazing. However this porch is extremely poorly designed. This tent is great and in its price range it might be the best. I reviewed it last year and gave it 10. However, 18 months later there are things I wish I knew and my experience drops it a couple of points.

We extended our tent with the porch unit, which adds some good utility space but we haven't mastered putting it up properly yet. Perhaps we're just not tall enough. So far, it’s been great. I’m not an aficionado of tent quality so I can’t comment on that. Nor can I tell you if it’s going to last us very long – we’ve only taken it away twice so far this year.
