I cannot possibly give it a single mark for projection. After 10-15 minutes, I cannot smell it at all. I have to get in close to smell this fragrance at all, even just after spraying! The star anise is a really unique note in perfumery, at least from what I’ve seen. The fragrance smells spicy with a nice twist on the classic fougère DNA. I would give it a higher rating but as it’s so cheap, you can tell how synthetic it is. At least these synthetics are done pretty well! The projection is good in the first hour, a lot of girls like this and ask me what I am wearing, which does not happens with Chanel Allure (for eg). After the first hour, the perfume is still there but people around you will smell it when you shake hands or kiss each other. Now this is a very interesting scent indeed. I came across another review saying Moschino Forever was similar to Creed Aventus...ummm no I do not think so dude! But it does manage to hold up against many other fragrances and that's no joke! Just received mine today after a long wait. As Sherapop said, "this is perfume". This sillage is along the line of Shalimar. In other ways, they share nothing.

Upon first applying, I may have been too heavy handed because I wanted to run to the bath and scrub is off. It was nearly overwhelming. After about 15 minutes, it mellows to a beautiful oriental. The first blast is similar to the smell of kerosene which gives way to beautiful flowers and woodie goodies. There is nothing sweet about this concoction. To me, it is pure oriental. The nutmeg, patchouli, and sandalwood blend with the carnation and gardenia. There is no question they dominate the carnations and gardenias. I think the flowers are there to merely temper the woodie offerings. I have not noticed the pepper. I steered clear from the house of Moschino after less than felicitous encounters with three members of the CHEAP & CHIC series, none of which I find wearable. But they have redeemed themselves many times over with MOSCHINO and also COUTURE, another recent acquisition and splendid creation. As an added plus, the bottles in which these two gems are housed are lovely as well... Two small squirts on the inside of my arm lasted ALL night (unheard of with my skin) but by morning I had a very spicy patchouli only. Like Kama, this reminds me of a mix of frags - a healthy dose of Rykiel Woman (warm, peppery-spiced) blended with the big "perfumey" voice of scents like 24F, Boucheron, L'Heure Bleue.

I love the way this perfume swirls and changes throughout the day. It is not one of these were one notes comes forward then retreats, not a scent that suddenly changes, no this swirls and softens and morphs slowly, subtly developing new nuances as it settles and beds in to the skin. This works with your body heat and chemistry to become an aura of beautiful scent that swirls and caresses the body as you move. I sit here taking deep breaths of this beauty. Nor will I join in to chastise it's cheaply molded "Gangsta Bling" presentation, by comparing it to the 200child-labor-hour flacon of Valentino Uomo. Which would indeed make this flimsy "Logo Cap", straight up junk... by comparison. Overall I just think there are so many better options out there that this just doesn't register to me. However, I have to admit that on the right skin with few sprays the dry down is not horrible though not memorable either. It's just not a fragrance I could recommend with a clear conscious even though its cheap. I would recommend trying it and if you can appreciate it go for it. But for me this is a no go. One thing about it, for those of you who like to collect strong frags this scent is very strong. It lasts 10 hours on skin but I'd wear it mostly in the spring because it can get cloying in the summer. It can fit many situations that are casual and would probably have ended up being a 2 spray gym scent for me (there is always an opportunity to make a good impression...even in the gym). Due to it's performance it can possibly be a signature scent one could wear all year. Strong, spicey, alcoholic, herbal & bitter-sweet at first - blasting its way onto the skin, making its presence known like a pair of high heels on a cool marble floor. Moschino then takes its sweet time to slowly mellow into a more rounded "perfumey" fragrance (I see scents like 24Fauberg as having this rich, perfumey quality).

I have never heard of Moschino before I bought this but I believe they did a good job with Forever. Give it a shot you got nothing to lose! This one is good. Better than good, actually. And it IS quite unique. I feel like it’s an aromatic first, a freshie second, and an aquatic third. It’s definitely a twist on the formulaic aquatics that proliferated on the 90s and early 2000s. It’s more “nautical” than “aquatic.” If that makes sense. Overall, a very spicy incense/amber/woods. Not as sweet as Youth Dew, Opium, Tabu, etc... I think the galbanium (my fave!) whispers all thru-out the longevity, but those first few minutes are sublime! I'm thinking/hoping-- the opening will hang around more on clothing.

It's a perfume!" were the first words out of my mouth upon applying Moschino MOSCHINO. What a gorgeous, substantial composition this is! I love the rich florality mingling with all of the spices and the patchouli. The marigold (tagetes) really stands out for me--in a beautiful way--but all of the other floral and oriental and chypre notes contribute as the voices of a harmonic chorus. Looks like I'm postponing any thoughts of Chanel Coco or more Allure Sensuelle. I have barely made a dent on this. I'm going to wear it more often. Moschino presents the new men's fragrance in 2011 named Moschino Forever. The perfume’s name is inspired by classic pieces of apparel that are timeless, yet interpreted in a fun, elegant and somewhat ironically matter in the style of Moschino.
