With this one, during the first 15% I thought that I was watching an episode of “Homeland” and I was very excited about it. Unfortunately I did not find this book as remarkable as the TV series.

Ken Follett truly takes his time layering this story. My analytical brain had a blast thinking about the pieces and making predictions throughout, while also trying not to panic that all of this could actually happen. I found it particularly fascinating to see how Colleen interprets the importance of experiences, memories and similar influences. I agree with her stance - which she conveys through the characters - that they are highly significant for character development. It’s hard to cover the entirety here. There was a large portion of this story that I haven’t mentioned, where I loved the characters - the undercover agent following drug smuggling terrorists, and the human connection he formed while doing this alarmingly difficult task, he was very good at his job. What I found interesting about Part 2 is that the main characters are losing their memories for the second time, but the supporting characters are still in the current time. This means that to the other characters, Silas in particular appears mentally unstable. He forgets how to play football… twice. He forgets his name… twice. He’s meeting his younger brother… twice. To the outside world, however, this is just making Silas look more and more unhinged.Never is a 2021 thriller novel, written by British author Ken Follett. It is a globe-spanning thriller, covering multiple plotlines concerning the beginnings of a cataclysmic war, fueled by espionage, technological advances in warfare and political instability in countries like China and the United States. [1] Plot [ edit ] I’m invested enough to want to know how this mess ends… but the last installment better be really the last or else I may change my opinion. Part 3 of Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher concludes with Silas and Charlie realizing that the common factor that causes them to lose their memories is not loving the other person. This is the first book of a series co-written by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. Colleen wrote the guy's POV, Tarryn wrote the girl's, and the two halves of the story were blended together seamlessly. The characters have become more mature and likable and I really loved reading the letters and the shifting POVs of the MCs. Silas' cheesiness could use a little tone down though.

For most of this book, Charlie and Silas are separated. She has been imprisoned and must try and figure out exactly who is holding her captive and why. Meanwhile, Silas falls under scrutiny when Charlie does not turn up. He was the last person seen with her and the number one suspect in her disappearance.I think that it’s going to be hard to top the excellent Kingsbridge Tetralogy and The Century Trilogy. They begin to put some pieces together simply by interacting with various people: They learn that they are a couple, that their families seem to have some bad blood, and that they each have one sibling. Additionally, a fellow student from school may have some unexpected ties to Charlie’s past that neither she nor Silas were expecting. This turned out to be way cuter than I hoped it would be. My good friend Dora, recommended this series and since we usually agree(ish) on books I decided to give them a try despite all the bad memories. I was not disappointed.
