Sainsbury’s has previously collaborated with Disney to launch the Collectable Cards and Album range. The cards have been hugely popular over the past few years, with children racing to stores to complete their collections. The last year that the Heroes cards were available, over 90 million cards were collected in just six weeks. Available to collect from 1st September until 12th October, the cards and albums teach kids about how to help the planet as well as different healthier foods Research shows eating in line with UK dietary guidelines will be better for the planet than the current average UK diet. However, Sainsbury’s is planning to double the amount of cards on offer so there are more cards up for grabs, and less are sold online.

Mark Given, chief marketing officer for Sainsbury’s said that both the cards and album have proved "incredibly popular" in the past with children and adults alike. Today Sainsbury’s have confirmed a new wave of their popular LEGO Trading Cards, which previously saw over 400 millions cards collected within the six week period, that’s a lot of collecting and swapping 🤗 Mark Given, Chief Marketing Officer for Sainsbury’s says: “Each year LEGO® Cards and Collectors Album have proven incredibly popular amongst children and adults alike – really capturing kids’ imaginations. The store says that the aim of the album is to "inspire and educate" children about different foods from around the world, and this year its theme will take children on a journey to discover where on the planet different ingredients come from. Cards are selling for around 99p on their own (plus postage)If you’ve already open the cards then fear not – they are still selling well in batches as well. Make sure to take a good photo to show which cards in the collection you’ve got. With 144 cards to collect in total, this year’s Disney Heroes ‘On a Mission’ cards and album will teach kids how they can help the planet through a mixture of fun activities such as games, facts, challenges, quizzes, creative art, recipes and more. At this point in time, you’ll likely know how many more cards you need to complete the 140 card set. This way, you could work out how much more money you’ll be spending in Sainsbury’s from now until they stop being issued. Chapter Three: Mission Energy - Gets children inspired about energy and how to control it - including how to make, save and share energy The collectable cards first appeared in store on 28 August 2018 and were offered to customers who spent over a certain amount. The Lego trading cards will stop being issued from 8 October – so there’s not much more time to collect them!
