I went from that naïve girl on the boat, dreaming of stolen kisses, to the one who held the key to his prison cell. Initially published on the Kindle platform, this would first arrive in 2020 on the 15th of October to much acclaim. Setting up the fifth book in the ongoing ‘Wild Scots’ series of novels, it would feature its own steamy romances and stand-alone story. Following on thematically, the books featuring powerful Scottish men in passionate romances, and this book is no different. This was a wild ride of figuring out how much of your parents influences who you are as a person, fighting against immorality, finding out who you are, and finding people who care about you more than you had experienced before. And I love how this theme has carried through all of these boys' books so far, and can't wait to see where the next book, Burn, takes us! Ummm wow.. this book seriously had me on edge the whole time. I had a love/hate relationship for this couple. I loved them so much but I also hated them. And not in a bad way. They had so much past trauma that I hated the way they were to each other at times. It was when they stopped fighting their feelings that I stopped hating them. Seeing Camden and Breeze fall for each other while healing from their past trauma was something I needed. These poor men suffered so much because of McInver and seeing them heal and find love has this reader smiling and giggling. Camden, I feel like, needed to heal the most. He was dealing with all the things in these books, and because he rarely talked about his past, that needed to happen. Finding out how he got his scar broke my heart. Breeze also had some healing to do, and I can’t wait to see her growth continue in the next book.

Scars book is next out in November so we'll have to wait a few months to uncover more secrets and I'm sure more unanswered questions will arise! These would help establish her as a fully fledged author in time, creating a name for her quite unlike any other. Many of these would continue as time went on, each featuring different running themes and ideas running throughout. Often featuring Scottish protagonists, her books would be varied, as she carries on producing novels, writing more and more to this day. Camden and his brothers still don’t understand the scope of the situation they’ve been thrust into. When an opportunity lands in his lap to find out more information, he takes it hoping it will help him find out what’s happened to their brother, Burn, and sister, Cassie. He wants to help and protect Breeze, too, but he’s worried the fantasies stirred by his attraction to her only prove that he’s as depraved as his biological father. Breeze is searching for her missing sister, diving into the world their mother used to live in and following her sisters steps in hopes of finding her. All of that gets sidelined when a giant idiot comes barging in with his un-needed protectiveness.Scar is the third book in the Dark Island Scots series. This one centers around Camden (Scar) and Breeze. So many twists and turns which is very common with this series. These Dark Island men are learning more about the secrets of their lives. I think I’m more invested in learning all these secrets than they are at this point. Scar really steps up and becomes the leader of the family. I felt like he was done letting Sin carry all weight and started doing his part for the family. There’s something really hot about that too. If a Darker romance isn't your taste head over to Marry the Scots, Wild Scots or Wild Mountain Scots. All are amazing reads and lighter in nature but brilliant reads!

As this story begins, Ella is younger than most heroines I usually read about. She is only 17. And at times, this romance straddles a New Adult line. But I am happy to report that she ages three years over the course of the book and by the end, feels like a grown woman. I was over the moon excited to receive an ARC of this book, but now I am almost sad about that, because I wish I could still look forward to all of the goodness that is Struan and Thea. Set during a single snow party, the story revolves around three different characters, as they come to find each other. Looking at the interplay between the three, it sees them all coming together, as the two men, Blayne and Brodie, find themselves with Casey. Sharing their passion together, Casey has come from America to find these Scottish men, making for a passionate romance. Will they all form a relationship as one? Can they find each other at the end of it all? How will they deal with that one stubborn spark? My only disappointed was, I wish I would have held off until the other audiobooks were released to start this series. I will definitely be continuing this series and would recommend this book.

Yes I got myself lost in Ruin and I was told by the author comment on the bottom to "Lose yourself in Ruin" Get ready for the Dark Island😍 Violet I really want to give her a hug she so sweet and always thinking of everyone else before herself.

Camden on the other hand? I loved his growth in this story. He not only became an amazing person but he also became a stronger man. A better man. He stepped up and proved himself not only to his brothers but to himself as well. I just wish he could have accomplished what he wanted to. But if he had we probably wouldn't get Burn's book. And that is a book I need after this one.Sin and Lottie were hot to the breaking point! I enjoy the “I don’t like you but I can’t keep my hands off you” element and Sin was definitely in conflict with Lottie. We also saw an interesting kinky side to Sin that he wasn’t expecting. He was delicious. Jolie, you good? The newest series from Jolie Vines, Dark Island Scots, is a departure from her Highlander-loving Scotsmen of her earlier series, and it’s exciting and compelling. Now, for three books, she has enticed her readers with a prolonged storyline, wrought through plot ups and downs. That she compels her readers to dive into the books of this series is a testament to her capacity to keep her readers engaged. There is just something intriguing about her characters, Struan, Sin, Scar, and Burn. This found family that is actually blood-related pulls you into the story. However, it’s the running plot through the stories that drives readers forward. By the end of Scar, the newest story, there is no telling where the overarching story is going. We left with three complex heroes finding love amid the chaos of their lives. Woven into the fabric of this series is a delectable dark erotic spirit. With a sound of frustration, the woman stormed out of the shop, followed closely by the male half of the couple. The bells rang merrily as the door closed behind them, as if celebrating their absence. YES there is a cliffhanger and it ANNOYING one because I want to know what happened next now....please 🙏 So... it's no lie that I am a Jolie Vines fangirl and could not WAIT to get my hands on this book. (THANK YOU for the ARC)

Another way this book was different was that for the majority of it, Struan and Thea are physically apart. Gordain has been in the RAF since he was 16 yrs. old. He has finally reached his goal of attending search and rescue helicopter school. However, something happened to call his character in question, and he is on leave for investigation. At the end of Book 2, he rescued James’ sister from her uncle, and he fell in love. The major problem, Ella is 17 and he is 22. In Gordain’s mind, that is a huge gap. Little does he know, she is in love with him but due to her early life, she doesn’t know how to give or receive love. I really enjoyed this book and although the haven’t read the previous books in the series, I had no trouble; reading this one as a stand alone. This is Gordain and Ella’s story and it was a captivating one. Gordain is best friend’s with Ella’ brother James and he comes to her rescue when James asks him to help Ella escape from their evil uncle Richard. The opening of this book is tense and so many questions. Ferry on a rainy day, English girl find a Scottish boy chain to rail in the rain and NO ONE makes a comment and when her dad has a few whiskies he says there Darkness on this Island...no spoilers The premise of the story was appealing; it’s what drew me to the book and the cover. Struan at times gave me the bad boy imagine, especially when around, sweet innocent Thea. Thea was super sweet and gave this story balance. There were different POV and that was interesting as well.

I didn't get an inkling of that feeling with these two. Their romance was definitely a focal point, and I adored how neither of them could keep their hands off the other. The pull between them was magnetic. The sexy times were extremely I want to try more things,” I stated instead. “For some reason, my pussy is really interested in you, despite everything you did to her. We have time to kill before morning, so either play with me or sit and watch me read. Your choice.”
