My Audrey Hepburn–loving heart is so happy! When in Rome isa delectable romance, sweet and satisfyingas a slice of warm apple pie.” —Chloe Liese, author of the Bergman Brothers series Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group/Ballantine/Dell for sharing this amazing book's digital review copy with me in exchange for my honest thoughts

You can always count on a Sarah Adams rom-com to be equal parts funny, sweet, and swoony’ SOPHIE SULLIVAN Other than that, I think they are sweet together. I appreciated the fact that they actually communicate about everything and I liked their banter. What I struggled with was the inability to connect to the story in any meaningful way, nor the MC. This confused me a lot because it has all of the ingredients I love. Why would I not love this book then? This book managed to get me out a reading slump. YAY! If you just want a generic romcom that is just something fluffy and light to read, (something that's not too deep). This is your go to book! BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK DEEP YOU WON’T FIND MUCH!You and I rewritten took me by storm. I dearly love this beautiful, emotional, important, and deeply romantic story! Will and Graham are unlike any couple I’ve read before—and they were exactly what I needed!! In a world where toxic relationships are too often celebrated, Chip Pons gave us a couple who know how to communicate and play and grieve and celebrate together. It was truly a joy to read!! okay, listen. no one is more surprised than i am that i’m giving this four stars. i’m not a contemporary romance girly, but this one did it for me. is it perfect? not even close. but it is one of the sweetest rom coms i’ve ever read. i have to start this with my heart is actually SO fulfilled that we got such insanely good cameos of amelia, noah and all of my favorite people from when in rome. like god bless you sarah for that because i am still so obsessed with Amelia/Noah that i would read about them grocery shopping if she put it out into the world 😂 Sarah Adams' books are woven with pure sunshine and rainbows . . . It's everything you could want in a small town romance, along with a heaping dollop of her signature wit and sparkling charm' AMY LEA The story is very character driven and has so many fantastic characters, including the side characters. It is told from the perspectives of both Rae and Noah, who are so much fun and very enjoyable to read about. I loved all of the banter between Noah and Rae and their slow-burn romance makes the book a perfect rom-com. ❀ Hallmark Vibes

Sarah Adams’ books are woven with pure sunshine and rainbows . . . It’s everything you could want in a small town romance, along with a heaping dollop of her signature wit and sparkling charm’ AMY LEA Running the pie shop his grandmother left him, Noah Walker is busy enough as it is. But after finding Amelia on his front lawn in her broken-down car, he decides to let her stay in his guest room – on a very temporary basis, of course. The banter, the tension just everything in this book was fantastic and I cannot wait to read more from Sarah. . . A new favourite romance read that will have you grinning from start to end.'⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Now can we talk about that playful ending?? reenacting and quoting her fav romance book during sex (unfortunately Sarah deprived us from including full details from the actual scene — a shame I know) lmao but he’s a real one for that. Overall the ending left me satisfied and the book was so cute. Btw the spice in this is almost non existent (it’s closed door) 1-1.5 out of 5 🌶️ so you don’t go in blind expecting that but the slow burn and tension towards it was great 😋 Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. I really enjoyed this aspect of the book and it kept me hanging in even when I struggled to connect to either of the main characters. It was deliciously romantic. Kind of like watching a 90s rom-com but with still it having the magic of being a book.’⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You can always count on a Sarah Adams rom-comto be equal parts funny, sweet, and swoony. When in Rome is all that and more with characters who will make you wish they were your friends, a quirky town you’ll want to visit, anda romance you’ll want to read again and again.” —Sophie Sullivan, author of Ten Rules for Faking It Another annoyance besides the fact that Annie just irritated and frustrated the living stoof out of me is that she would have dialogue that came OUT OF NOWHERE. It was like the author had mapped out these “scenes” and would just jump to them like a squirrel who got distracted by too many nuts. And you're just like, where did this come from? What are we talking about? Who, what, where, how? ALLL THE RELATIVE PRONOUNS! i think the only thing that makes these small town books great are all the side characters, i literally LOVED mabel 🫶🏽Then Noah starts to see a different side of Rae Rose--she's Amelia: kindhearted and goofy, yet lonely from years in the public eye. He can't help but get close to her. Soon she'll have to return to her glamorous life on tour, but until then, Noah will show Amelia all the charming small-town experiences she's been missing, and she'll help him open his heart to more. The majority of their communication was so honest and open (which I loved) especially on Wills end like yess we love a man who can ACTUALLY communicate. At first it did feel like insta love but I still ate it up as it didn’t feel cringey to me like most. Sometimes a woman is just worn out and needs a break, you know?” The lines on her forehead deepen. “That doesn’t prove that you’re weak or neglectful, it proves to all the women standing by and watching you pave the road to success that it’s okay to say no. It’s okay to shut your door every now and then and put up a sign that says Busy taking care of me today. Piss off.”↞ For introverts like me with social anxiety, the process of dating is equivalent to waxing your bikini line. Menstrual cramps on day two of your cycle. An emergency dental procedure you weren’t expecting—and guess what: they’re fresh out of novocaine.” Plus, there's ZERO spice, so even if you think 'you know what, maybe I can put up with the bad because there's smut', you'd be wrong.

the ending was so dragged out, it was so unnecessary i thought it was all pretty average but some of this dialogue was so difficult to get through

To me, you’re Amelia. Maker of shitty pancakes and a smile that rivals the sun. All I want is you.” I loved how both of them didn’t force what they wanted onto the other and were encouraging and understanding of one another esp in facing what was ahead for them thus reaching common ground. Definitely better than When in Rome, by a lot. From the first paragraph, I could tell this will be a good one. I really liked When in Rome last year and was so excited to see who’s book was going to be next. Annie’s story is full of joys and perfect for your romantic heart! I loved so many things about this book and hopefully you will too!
