Unsurprisingly, I liked Enzo much more than Fausto and I think that's because Enzo had multiple layers to him and he was such a complex character and that's what I loved. I didn't have to agree with his actions and he was cruel to Gia during many scenes in the book, but I kind of understood why he acted that way. Francesca is this sassy, feisty, loudmouth, opinionated, modern 18 year old; whereas Fausto is older, domineering, old school Italian, a-hole, but man does sex just oozes from him. These two are A LOT of like, only Francesca doesn't know it yet. the story kept moving at a wonderful pace where i never truly got bored. the spice never felt repetitive to me even though there was SO much of it making up the book. seeing how the MC's grow from enemies in a forced captor/captive situation to slowly realizing they actually have feelings for each other was just.. UGH SO MUCH ANGST MAAN, esp with the third act conflict. Your problems are my problems. You’re not getting rid of me, principe. I can safely say I'm in my dark mafia romance era, and Mila Finelli's Mafia Target was perfect for that! This book was a great mixture of mystery, action, and steamy romance. Watching Alessio and Giulio fall for each other in such an unconventional way was absolutely perfect! This is my first Mila Finelli read, and it's a standalone MM mafia romance with a HEA and two gorgeous, dangerous Italian men! You didn't know how you got here, one moment you were exploring an old studio and the next you were in a sentient house with a talking puppet. As strange as it all is to process, maybe it'll all be okay, he seems friendly.
