You may also need a drill, 6.5mm drill bit if you need to install a couple of M5 rivnuts on the downtube to secure the battery cradle. keep your cadence high. Output power = torque * rotational speed, the higher your cadence, the more help you get from the motor. Special speed sensors, which are more robust, and include a split 'Y' adapter, to hook up a 6V headlight, and 6V taillight, which you can control from the display I’ve ridden torque-sensing ebikes at Interbike, and I have to confess, I do like the feel. However, the ebike I ride the most right now is a 1500W BBSHD from Luna Cycle. When spring of 2019 arrives, my next project is boosting the BBSHD power to 2500W, so a 750W drive doesn’t interest me, no matter how smooth and seamless the power application is.

Take your bike for a short test ride to assess the motor's performance, pedal-assist functionality, and overall system integration. Pay attention to any unusual noises, vibrations, or issues that might require further adjustment. Troubleshooting Common IssuesMountain bikes seem to like torque-sensors, because they have no time delay with adding power, or stopping it. They also like a light drive, and this kit is about as light as a 750W mid drive could be made. Hopefully as ebikes become more popular there’ll be a broader choice of off-the-peg offerings, but for now if your needs are at all “specialised”, you might find an easier route to happiness by finding the perfect bike first, and then electrifying it. At 70 miles we found the low battery cut off...not really a negative though...am taking this to mean that the range is at least as good as before and well...70 miles!

The torque sensor plays a crucial role here, providing proportional assistance based on your pedaling effort. This feature not only conserves battery but also mimics the feeling of riding a traditional bike. Expect a range of 40-50 miles on a single charge, making it suitable for daily commutes or leisurely rides. Now that you've prepared the bike for the installation, let's proceed with installing the TSDZ2B Mid Motor. Follow these steps carefully: Mounting the Mid Motor Unit Connection between battery and motor will require soldering. These motors are supplied with bullet connectors and our batteries are supplied with XT90 connectors, you will receive the corresponding XT90 connector with your battery. Changing the connector will NOT invalidate your warranty. Generally, the TSDZ2 is reliable. But, problems can and do occur. Sometimes, these may manifest within the first few miles, and others may not happen until the motor has over a thousand miles under the belt. Environmental factors seem to play a part, and if you live in a wet country, it’s worth remembering that the Tongsheng isn’t waterproof.

4. Reduction shaft Upgrade

Même si d'après le statistiques, le plus grand nombre des incendies viennent des EPDM (et surtout des trottinettes), le bannissement concerne tous les véhicules y compris les VAE. Question: I've been looking at the specs and it states 250w however the controller is set to 16A and the battery is 48v. There is a lot of 'iffy' info out on the TSDZ2 around the internet. We have done THOROUGH testing ourselves, and have been in touch directly with the manufacturer to get to the bottom of it. We have software programming capabilities for the controller itself, not just hardware repair/replacement capabilities. There is an ongoing 'thread' on a very informative forum 'endless-sphere' which you could go to for information. Of course, I would be happy to answer any questions as well!

One of the most significant advantages of the Tongsheng TSDZ2B conversion kit is its ease of installation. Even if you're not a seasoned mechanic, you can install it with the help of detailed instructions provided. However, if you prefer a hands-off approach, seeking professional assistance is always an option.

Introduction to the TSDZ2B Mid Motor

I’ve already said that, even within the 250W constraints set by EU legislation, the TSDZ2 is not as powerful as some other offerings from Bosch and Shimano. That’s not a disaster as a more frugal motor will give you a longer range, but it would be nice to have a bit more oomph at the top end. At the moment, Bosch and Shimano motors have a two-year warranty from new. After that, if you get a fault, you either live with it or get a dealer to buy and fit a replacement motor (and from what I can tell it has to be exactly the same motor model – no upgrading). It’s not entirely clear how that process works, or whether dealers can get hold of spare parts, or just entire motors.
