I’m very happy with the results and my progress so far. Working on this project alongside some friends, who are also progressing their armies during the pandemic, has really motivated me. In fact, I had my first tabletop game in about 20 years just the other day – a game of Warhammer 40,000 using the first 500 points of this army, all fully painted! We had an absolute blast.

Shredding Fire might get there as a second Dire Avenger option for a big unit – it isn’t cheap, but it lets their shurikens get extra AP on a 5 rather than a six, good if you’re planning to go wild with combos.

The Ghost Warriors are among the most powerful forces that the Asuryani send into battle. Each one combines a towering robotic wraith-construct with the soul of a deceased Aeldari warrior. Guided by a Spiritseer, and armed with some of the most devastating weaponry in the craftworlds' arsenal, a host of Ghost Warriors strides across the worlds of the galaxy bringing immortal vengeance. The psychic link between an Aeldari and his identical twin is like no other. Whilst alive, these gifted individuals can sense the proximity, the mood, and even the thoughts of their counterparts with the ease that a normal Aeldari could feel the sun on his skin or the wind in his hair. The bond is so strong that should one of the twins die before the other, the surviving brother or sister will often fade away in sympathy.

Wraithguards, supported by a Wraithknight of the Saim-Hann craftworld, take the battle to the Orks. Toughness (this is HUGE. The difference between t7 and t8 is MASSIVE — all str 4 weapons are now doing half as much damage. 25% damage from str 8 weapons like melta and OC plasma)Speaking of Strands of Fate – this absolutely rules, and turns where you get good rolls on this are going to feel incredible. This new mechanic has you roll six dice at the start of each battle round, and you get to keep a number of them based on the game size (4 in Strike Force games). Each die result corresponds to a type of roll you can spend that die on later in the round to automatically generate a 6 result for a single die – no roll required. These six rolls are: The clarity of thought provided by the living twin ensures that the construct moves with the speed typical of the Aeldari race, whilst the psychic link between the pilot and their departed sibling allows them to commune with not only the animating forces of the twin, but also the spirits of former incumbents that once controlled the construct's long-limbed form. To add to this boxed set, we’re going to add a few extra units that’ll give the army a bit more play (especially onto Space Marines).

Wraithlords are lithe but mighty nobles that dwarf even their Wraithguard cousins. These statuesque robotic constructs are extremely precious to their craftworlds and, due to their wraithbone construction, have a supernatural toughness that surpasses even that of adamantium.Assassin-class Ghost Warrior - The Assassin-class Ghost Warrior possessed two Power Gloves and was outfitted with a Shuriken Catapult to provide long-ranged firepower. The shell of the Assassin-class Ghost Warrior was also coated with Cameleoline and the robot possessed a Teleport Homer to allow it to make instantaneous and unexpected entrances and exits.

Wraithknights are often deployed on Crone Worlds at the forefront of quests for new Spirit Stones, which often involve dangerous encounters with Daemons and other nightmarish denizens. However as the End Times approach for the Eldar and their race dies faster then it can give birth, fewer and fewer twins are born upon each Craftworld. Many Wraithknight pilots are recruited from Revenant Titan helmsmen who have lost their twin in battle and driven to regain their kinship whatever the cost, give themselves over to the life of a Wraithknight pilot. Even more unsettling is that it is rumored that some Craftworld councils have removed the option of choice for such individuals. [1] Skathach Wraithknight Both flavours of Guardians get better stats, but have high minimum squad counts at 10 and aren’t cheap.

Abilities

Other groups of Aeldari cling to existence, including the Harlequins – who travel the Webway (an ancient network of safe* tunnels through the warp) acting as diplomats, performers, and mercenaries, and the Ynnari – who worship the half-reborn god of death as a means to finally thwart Slaanesh and recapture the Aeldari souls it ate during the Fall. I’d consider having some fun and getting some more of the specialist units like Fire Dragons, Swooping Hawks or Dire Avengers. But really, you need to probably lean into the speed of this list. Perhaps drop the Wraithlord and think about more bikes or things like Swooping Hawks etc.
