This book is heartfelt, dealing with all its drama in the real-world, effectively reflecting it every step of the way. The story itself is engaging, and it’s easy to see why this series became so successful with its worldwide audience and following. Fully invested in the characters and their outcomes, the story has many twists and turns, constantly managing to surprise the whole way. Living one day at a time. Taking the world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that He will make all things right…if I surrender… It sounds like a time traveler’s prayer, doesn’t it?” The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone has been a hard series for me to read. I couldn't look away, I was on the edge of my seat, and yet there were things that bothered me. Both in regard to the plot and the content. Here in this final installment, if you thought Rem had been on the verge of losing everything before—well, just hang on. He's really about to lose everything. So for one last time, he heads to the past to see what difference he can make.

Without warning, Stanley jerked away, releasing her mouth and leaving her with the taste of her own blood in her mouth. The plot initially seemed to have many parallels to fifty shades of grey. I loved fifty shades, but in at least the 1st book, I would have liked there to have not been as many parallels. Krystina Cole is a recent college graduate living in NYC & is determined to be independent. She has struggle to find a job since graduation that will utilize her education. Alexander Stone is a NYC real estate billionaire who is set in his way. Alexander is completed intrigued with Krystina from the first time they met. He finds himself attracted to her in a way that he has never been before. Alexander wants to have a casual relationship with Krystina & introduce her into his world. He is aware that she is naive but he cannot help wanting her. And he is a man that is use to getting what he wants. But Krystina is not what he expects & she has him bending his own rules to make accommodations for her. They both find themselves unexpectedly in a battle of tug of war. He wants more, seeing her as someone who could be a long term commitment. She wants to keep it casual, so she doesn't fall & lose herself. But what is truly keeping them at an impasse is the secrets they keep from each other. Neither of them knowing how to trust or be honest about their pasts make it impossible to move beyond the pain that hold each of them in its grip. When Krystina is exposed to understand Alexander's needs & her past collide at the same time, she is left questioning what she really wants.Goodness, where to begin? This series vastly outperformed even my wildest expectations and this final installment couldn't have been more perfectly written. 2021 has been a wonderful year full of unforgettable books and The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone Series is hands down my favorite of the year. Days, weeks and months were counted down until the next hit...erm, installment. Countless conversations had amongst fellow fans, speculating just how the author would wrap up Rembrandt's adventures in this last book. Okay, you guys, this is actually such a hard review to write without giving spoilers! So all I’m going to say is… this book was just as much of a rollercoaster as the rest of the series!! And when you got to the end… the rollercoaster ride was one hundred percent worth it!! This was the absolute perfect ending to the series & if you want to know more, you’re just going to have to read it for yourself!! If anything, his fingers tightened, making Ella whimper involuntarily. "Oh, I don't think so, whore. I've got plans for you now. You're going to make a tasty little treat for—"

She was the angel who guided me to salvation, lighting up all the places inside me that had been dark for most of my life. And something else, something that frightened Ella more than even the assault. It twisted his lips and carved lines into the surface handsomeness of his features, transforming them into a macabre mask of evil. Rembrandt sums it up so well in these words: “A thousand tiny things…but I can Fix it Jesus" has been my motto from the beginning of this series and I will say that it reached maximum intensity in this one, largely because I knew it was the last one and it was absolutely imperative that we get it right. Unfortunately, the hermit gig didn't pay much, and Ella was addicted to living indoors and eating regularly, so she had to work, which meant dealing with people on a daily basis. At the museum at least, most of the people she met were on their best behavior, and being surrounded by the art made the unwelcome company almost bearable. When she gave tours as a docent, she could concentrate on her speech and on the works she pointed out to visitors to the collection; when managing the gift shop, she could smile politely and use professionalism to keep people at bay.But I will tell you that there were tears and anguish… and there was joy! My heart broke, my heart smiled… there were bittersweet moments and there was closure! And that IS all I’m going to say!! 😊😍

Summer is the assistant to the "boss from hell" editor of Belle fashion magazine on location shoot in Australia. Ethan Stone, the son of Tristan and Nina Stone is the photographer. Somehow Ethan and Summer have a one night stand and turns it into a fake relationship that doesn't stay FAKE for long. Setting herself apart from other writers in her field, she really does have a unique voice that stands out from the rest. This idiosyncratic style of hers has allowed her to make some innovative and creative interpretations of the romantic genre format. Using this approach, readers are left not quite knowing what to expect from her and her work, giving it a really distinctive perspective. Leading the way with her character-driven stories, she pushes the boundaries at every chance she can get, making her work extremely exciting. Listened to this story on Audible. I listened to the Boxset that has all 3 books of the series. Love that! Female narrator is fine; not a huge fan of her male voice, but she does okay. Male narrator does okay as well. I liked him a little better than the female narrator, but he comes across as a bit too theatrical at times. Still I enjoyed the overall listening experience and would recommend it. They both got better with books 2 and 3 as well. Susan May Warren is the USA Today bestselling, Christy and RITA award–winning author of more than eighty novels whose compelling plots and unforgettable characters have won acclaim with readers and reviewers alike. The mother of four grown children, and married to her real-life hero for over 30 years, she loves travelling and telling stories about life, adventure and faith. This is a brilliant debut novel by Dakota Willink. While reading this book, I was put through a multitude of different emotions from good to bad. I was truly captivated by this story & how the two characters were trying to find their way. As I'm writing this I feel stunned by what I read. It isn't that it's another dark romance dealing with BDSM but how Ms. Willink wrote the book. I would definitely recommend this book. The book is meant for mature readers.
