Description

A string of suicides mar the serenity of the place, at least a handful of young woman in their twenties have been taking their own lives and plummeting off a cliff side. This book had a pretty good beginning not only because of the romance but because of the mystery murder subplot.

Juniper Hill is located on the main Portrush to Portstewart Road (A2) between these two popular seaside resorts. This family friendly park commands an excellent location from which to explore Portstewart with its shops, cafes, restaurants and many tempting ice cream shops. Ballyreagh Golf Course is within 200 metres, with the main championship courses in Portrush and Portstewart a short drive away. It’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on. Knox Eden is a beautiful, sinful dream, a chef and her temporary landlord. With his sharp, stubbled jaw and tattooed arms, he’s raw and rugged and everything she’s never had—and never will. Because after the first worst day of her life, Memphis learned a good life requires giving up on her dreams too. And a man like Knox Eden will only ever be a dream. after being disappointed with Indigo ridge I started this with very low expectations but Deveney Perry really said I'm going to give you single parent excellence and SHE DID PEOPLE. I loved the mystery element of the story. I love that it's not predictable and really kept you guessing until the final revelations. I also loved the relationship between Winn and Griff. Winnie is no push over and she doesn't take any of Griff's attitude. But it also doesn't take long for their chemistry to push past all of their boundaries and man was it satisfying to see Griff's possessive side show through.

Winslow was the type of heroine I enjoy. Tough when needed but not so hard core I couldn’t relate to her. She was carrying emotional scars that were, literally, a nightmare. My heart was broken by her struggle but once I learned the full story, I was horrified as well.

See a Problem?

Knox runs the kitchen in his family’s hotel and now has a new neighbor, well two. Memphis moves across the country to work at said hotel and she lives in the apartment above Knox’s house with her infant son, Drake. Memphis and Knox don’t start out on the best food. He’s a bit of a grumpy hero… but soon enough, Memphis and Drake win him over. knox…he was honestly such a man. the way mara and i were kinda eating up everything he said. the bar is very well in hell but hey this was such a short easy read, why should i complain!! So, as I said, Indigo Ridge is the first installment in Devney Perry’s new series called The Edens and, as you can imagine, is focused on the stories about the Eden siblings. This one starts with Griffin Eden’s story, the oldest sibling in the family. Griffin is the ranch manager, the brother who is always taking care of his siblings and a man not willing to compromise with any woman. Enter Winslow Covington. She is the new chief of police in Quincy, she is trying to fit in, and she happens to share a one-night stand with Griffin that is impossible to forget. These two fight against their continuous chemistry but it’s not that easy. Especially when they are forced to work together in a heartbreaking murder case.

this actually exceeded my very low expectations. i will admit this was a lot better than the first book. i initially rated the first book 3 stars but would change that to 2 and mara rated it 2 stars lmfao, so you can imagine we thought we would hate this…but we surprisingly didn’t! Overall Pace of Story: Good for the most part. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well, but there were some time jumps throughout that made it seem a little odd or like I was missing something.

Overall Pace of Story: Good until the very end. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well otherwise. usually in books like this I hate the fmc but Memphsis IS DIFFERENT OKAY (not that kind of different) she is the definition of an amazing mom and I just adored her love for drake. everything she did for him ☹️🫶 babes...what chemistry? im convinced ur either delulu or the author doesn't know what chemistry is because i felt like this was a regular one-night stand with nothing even remotely interesting to make it something more. t’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on.
