On successful completion, students will be awarded the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching & Learning. This qualification has 12 Credits and is worth 8 UCAS Points.

Learners will need to be working, or on a practical placement in a learning environment (school or college) for the course, and will need to display competence in both skills and knowledge. You will need to record a minimum of 100 hours in placement. The school setting must be Key Stage One or higher - no School Nursery or Reception. If placement or practical is required, when? CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online. Understand how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused or harmedThis course is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments in addition to practical work, which is assessed in the workplace by the supervisor. So, a work placement is required to complete the practical tasks, which can be spread over the duration of the course. As learners need to show competence in both skills and knowledge, they will need to be working or be on a practical placement during the taught programme of study in a learning environment (school or college). At diploma level, we recommend that the learner undertakes an additional 100 hours of placement to that taken at the certificate level in a real work environment, to total 200 hours.
