Rhys refuses to ever get involved with his clients but he can’t seem to stay away from her. Bridget’s brother has abdicated the crown for love so she must prepare to be queen while hiding her forbidden romance with Rhys. Their pining, passion, chemistry and secret touches were chefs kiss 💋🔥❤️!! Well, I liked this better than I expected. Going in with lower expectation was definitely the right choice so I ended up liking this a bit better than the first book. Sexual Content Alex… well, I started reading this book for him, and damn, he completely took over my mind. From his first entrance, this enigmatic character intrigued me. Best friends with Josh, he’s always looked at Ava as his sister – we know how’s that going to go lol. Eventually, when Josh entrusts Alex to take care of his sister, he moves into Josh’s home, right next to Ava’s. take bridgets princess title away and that girl would be the blandest heroine ever, even cardboard has more personality than her. As I said most twists and turns were predictable and I could see revelations of both characters’ past coming but still I was surprised in the climax. Alex’s reason for letting Ava go after the climax was logical but I also felt it was unfair. I rooted for Ava at this point and I’m so very happy and kind of proud of Ava for not forgiving Alex easily and not letting him in her life without making him earn her trust and love again. The book earned extra brownie points for that. End is good and as I expected but I have to say I’m really excited for Bridget and Rhys’ story.

RHYS was the reason this book wasn't rated lower and the reason for me to believe that Ana Huang has potential after all, just how Alex was the reason I hated the first book. Rhys was just so much better than Alex, even though he had his red flags (I talked about that in the updates). I'm not a fan of his relationship with Bridget, especially the portion of the story while they weren't romantically involved and he was just her bodyguard. He was jelaous and stupid??, bossing her around, telling her "everything he does is for her best" and using that as an excuse to be an absolute asshole. He forgot his place so many times that I had to remind myself he was her bodyguard. Changing that portion of the story, seeing his submissive side would make this story better BY A DEGREE (once again, argue with the wall). However, seeing Rhys's character development gave me peace and comfort, I loved his banter with Andreas and hints of a relationship with Nikolai. The Twisted Series is about the four school friends Ava, Bridget, Jules, and Stella. We follow each of them through complications, intrigues, and changes and get to know the story of how they find the love of their life. ‘Twisted Love’ by Ana Huang Name the trope, you get it: Best friend's sister? "Touch her and I'll kill you"? "I hate everyone but you"? Morally gray possessive/jealous alphahole? Interracial relationship? Groveling? Sunshine heroine and grumpy hero? It was a dirty , ugly want, tainted by the blood on my hands and a desire to drag her out of the sunshine and into my night. I hated Vicious. Not because of the bully aspect but because I felt zero chemistry between Emilia and Vicious and I found the sex to be poorly written. I also found Vicious's possessiveness and jealousy to be creepy. I don't know, personal preference I guess. Unlike Vicious, I couldn't help but love the tension between Alex and Ava. It was clearly there, and while it was angsty at times, it was also soft and beautiful. I never found Alex to be creepy like Vicious, which saved part of the story for me. But, after finishing Twisted Love, there were a lot of things that were similar to Vicious that ruined the story a little for me. I hated him, he's the worst book bf ever bro I'm not joking. mr larsen didn't even have a character development, he's so boring. I hated him.
