Description

On the rear side of the Monitor Audio Bronze 50 it has high-quality gold-plated binding posts. Use them to connect the speaker to a matching amplifier. It has silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling for smooth transfer. It supports both bi-wiring and bi-amping so you can change the connection type as per your preference. These methods are well known and will improve the overall sound. Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. We do not include any form of insurance terms such as accidental damage or loan equipment cover. This sheer musicality overcomes some of the minor flaws that are present in the performance. Compared to the Mission LX-2 which can generally be found for the same price, the Monitor 50’s tonality can be a little brighter and harder and listening to something that is well recorded and focuses on a single instrument like Nils Frahm’s Hammers isn’t as natural as some rivals can achieve, although it is still very very good for a speaker at this price point. It also does a reasonable job of keeping poorer recordings under control and sounding enjoyable and while it wasn’t used for this task, it is more than up to the task of discerning the difference in presentation between the Chord Qutest and the internal decoding of the Star. On the front side of the speaker there is a thin horizontal slot port. For better bass, place it near walls. That said, low ends are excellent for a desktop speaker. Along with music, this speaker is ideal for PC gaming. Use the speaker stands to tilt them so that the tweeter is at user ear height. This is needed for optimized listening experience. It shows rich and detailed performance. Audiophiles will be impressed with it.

It continues to amaze me just how good modern budget speakers are these days. The Bronze 100 speakers, which might be viewed as being a step above that level, continues that quality. They offer neutrality and balance with plenty of detail yet there’s plenty of power in reserve. Highly recommended. The great space on the soundstage also meant that the Monitor Audio designs offered improved instrumental separation. That is, you heard gaps between instruments. Because of that, you tended to hear detail around the edges of instruments. Where and how they started and stopped. This precision enhanced the overall clarity from the speakers as a whole. We connect our reference system of Naim ND555/555PS DR music streamer and Burmester 088/911 Mk3 pre/power to pretty much every speaker that comes our way. Such a high-end set-up will show just how good the speakers can sound when fed with an impeccable signal. Since this is a set of passive speakers, the connectivity of the speaker depends on the amplifier you use. It has single gold-plated binding posts. You can perform Bi-amping and Bi-wiring with it. What this did for the Bronze 50s was infuse the soundstage with air and space that allowed detail to tumble around the soundstage and for emotion to be grabbed and presented to the ear.

Summary

These speakers are in another class. They are twice the price and should walk all over the Bronze 100 speakers. Nevertheless, I wanted to see what you get for your money and how the smaller 15i designs coped with their constricted cabinets. Would the Bronze 100 speakers have an advantage in that area? In the market for a pair of budget speakers but looking for something…a little more? Paul Rigby embraces the generously proportioned Bronze 100s And here, when you bring in a pair of Bronze 50 speakers, the next models down in terms of price and also in terms of size, you hear that reduction in mass and bulk. The music almost shrinks before your eyes and ears. The emotion was still there but its impact was less significant now because the speakers drew on a smaller well of information. It’s a bit like talking to something and gaining clues from their body language as to how they’re really feeling. The Bronze 50s provided fewer clues in emotional terms. The speakers sit within a 15mm MDF chassis and feature a 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter featuring the company’s new ‘Uniform Dispersion (UD) waveguide’. The unit includes increased bracing strength and driver/baffle de-coupling. Audioengine A2+ is an excellent wireless active bookshelf speaker. It shines in terms of performance and features. You are free to connect different types of devices. It can be used in home or office rooms. -Read

There was more focus, more precision and a greater sense of accuracy from the Martin Logans. Generally speaking, if you have a look at woofer size then the Silver 100 7G from Monitor Audio has a larger driver of 8”. The Bronze 50 has only a 5.25” driver. Silver 100 7G is a bigger speaker than the Bronze 50. For small spaces with space limitations, Bronze 50 is a better choice, and it also costs less than the Silver 100 model. The Gorme voice via the Bronze 50s had an extra spring in their step. There was more energy. The 3020i speakers smouldered at you. The Bronze 50 speakers gazed at you with a mischievous twinkle in their eyes. There was pep and spice form the Monitor Audios. They didn’t sway their hips like the 3020i speakers, the 50s were on their toes, ready to leap and bound and tap dance across the stage like Gene Kelly. Though those Dynaudios have more in the way of verve and rhythmic drive, but there’s still enough of both to make the Monitor Audios an enjoyable listen.
