Audrey's been great for me. She has brought out a side of me that's more mischievous and fun that I had suppressed, trying to be an adult. She has made it OK to use the power one has as a woman to be manipulative at times, to be precocious. She goes after what she wants vehemently and she takes it. I think that's really admirable. I love that about her. [10] a b Glenn O'Brien. "Fenn-Tastic! Meet Twin Peaks' Mysterious Siren Sherilyn Fenn." Playboy. December 1990. pp. 82–91, 213–214. Michael A. Lipton & Joyce Wagner. Fenn starred in the 1998 British psychological drama Darkness Falls as a wealthy and neglected wife, who is sequestered with her husband (played by Tim Dutton) by a man ( Ray Winstone) determined to understand the events that led to his wife ending up in a coma. Fenn called the film "a wonderful character piece" [15] While shooting the film in the Isle of Man in late 1997, Fenn considered settling in London to start a European career, but eventually decided to stay in the U.S. [17] [39] Return to television: Rude Awakening (1998–2001) [ edit ] In 1994, Fenn married guitarist-songwriter Toulouse Holliday, [53] whom she met on the set of Three of Hearts. She also had film roles in Wild at Heart (1990), Of Mice and Men (1992), Boxing Helena (1993), the television sitcom Rude Awakening (1998–2001), The United States of Leland (2003), Shameless (2016), and Shining Vale (2022). The actress started her career with several B-movies such as The Wild Life, The Wraith, Zombie High, Beauty and the Beast, Meridian, etc. The actress was also cast in movies like Diary of Hitman, Three of Hearts, Fatal Instinct, Just Write, Outside Ozona, Darkness Falls, The United States of Leland, Treasure Raiders, The Scenesters, Wish Upon, Losing Addison, Silent Life, etc. 1. Fenn posed for photographer Steven Meisel for the autumn–winter 1991–1992 Dolce & Gabbana campaign. [20] The film was not a hit. Nor were the 13 or so other films she was in over the next seven years. Some weren’t released. Some went straight to video. But she got a lot of on-the-set experience in teen-exploitation movies playing “the pretty one who likes the guy” or “the cute and spunky one,” but her repertoire grew up fast with Two Moon Junction, a sort of combination Gone with the Wind and Emmanuelle directed by Zalman King, the screenwriter and producer of 9½ Weeks. But once candid, able and collected Sherilyn Fenn saw the premiere episode, she realized that she was part of something important, that she was doing the first work that she really liked in her whole life. And it wasn’t hard. Sherilyn says, “Sometimes after an episode, David will call and say, ‘Sixty million.’” Fenn frequently traveled with her mother and two older brothers before the family settled in Los Angeles when she was 17. [4] Not wanting to start with a new school again, Fenn dropped out after her junior year and decided to pursue acting, enrolling at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Fenn gained newfound enthusiasm with the lead role in Showtime's sitcom Rude Awakening as Billie Frank, an alcoholic ex-soap opera actress, who tries to go sober and become a writer, but continues to struggle with her self-destructive habits. The series ran from 1998 to 2001 and co-starred Lynn Redgrave, Jonathan Penner, and Mario Van Peebles. She said of it:

Random Babe

Fenn has described many of these early films as sexploitation films "where directors tried to convince [her] to appear naked after the contract was signed." [6] In a February 1993 interview she explained:
