Thanks for reading my review! Join me as a friend or follower and feel free to browse my shelves for your next great book! I had to test how much rope I had, so I sat beside her feet on the couch and slowly ran my fingernail up the sole of her one naked foot. After a couple of strokes with no reaction, I went a step further and started to rub her foot, getting more aggressive as I went. After 30 seconds with no break in snoring, my confidence was high enough to go forward. I thought about turning the lights off and only having tv on (in case she woke) but I really wanted to see every inch of her feet. I made my move and bent down to her toes and put my lips around her big toe. I just sat there for what seemed like hours just enjoying that moment. The smell of her foot with her perfect toe in my mouth was almost enough to make me cum right there.

But if we return to the list of Ten Commands provided in the summary above, there are some curious things to note about the numbering. Swenson is helpful here, telling us that whilst Judaism considers ‘I am the LORD thy God’ to be the first commandment, Christians tend to view it as a preface to the first commandment (the one about having no other gods before Yahweh). But even within Christianity, there is some disagreement about how the first few commandments should proceed. Hard to put down, I tore through it in two sittings. This tale of an illicit one-night stand with devastating consequences is a hugely enjoyable read.' ALEX MICHAELIDES, author of The Silent Patient Tara is happily married to Christian. They have a 5 year old son, Marlon, and Christian is a stay at home dad. Tara started and now manages an online dating agency called Angel Eyes. She goes to a conference in a Tokyo and, it’s the oldest cliché in the book, she meets and sleeps with one of the other attendees - James Caine, an investment banker. By the time Tara leaves his room in the morning she realises she’s made a mistake but thinks if she can avoid him for the remainder of the conference all will be well and they will never have to see each other again - right? Wrong! If a man commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, both the man and the woman who have committed adultery must be put to death. The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. This fantastically crafted story has more twists and turns than a bowl of truffle pasta 🍝 😏 and I am absolutely here 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 it 👏🏻 The characters are undoubtedly human as we learn just how fallible they can be, even Tara’s seemingly perfect husband, Christian reveals some pretty dark tendencies... Your Neighbour’s Wife is about a happily married couple, Tara and Christian, they have a child, they are in love. Tara runs a successful business, she is asked to speak at a conference of entrepreneurs in Japan. It’s the first time she’s been away from home, from Christian, in years. A confluence of circumstances and opportunity lead to Tara having a one night stand. Her lover doesn’t take rejection, when they return to the UK he becomes her stalker, everything in Tara’s life is turned upside down. When the stalker is killed both Tara and Christian are suspects, gradually the drama envelops their family and friends. The domestic situation is every bit as important as the who done it element of the story.

While I didn’t particularly like any of the characters, except the child and the dog, they were well written and portrayed. I simply didn’t connect with them or their choices on a personal level. However, the antagonist was very well written and believable, and that guy got what was coming to him for sure. Imagine you’re looking at a painting of a happy family. It looks so lovely, soft focus, perfect, right down to the goofy Golden Labrador. Then the author passes you high definition spectacles, and suddenly it’s all in sharp focus! I cant quite explain the brutality yet tenderness of this book at different times but can say it will stay with you and its one of my top reads of the year. DISCLOSURE: Thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone, Century for providing a digital ARC of Your Neighbour's Wife by Tony Parsons for review. All opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own personal opinions.Tony Parsons (born 6 November 1953) is a British journalist broadcaster and author. He began his career as a music journalist on the NME, writing about punk music. Later, he wrote for The Daily Telegraph, before going on to write his current column for the Daily Mirror. Parsons was for a time a regular guest on the BBC Two arts review programme The Late Show, and still appears infrequently on the successor Newsnight Review; he also briefly hosted a series on Channel 4 called Big Mouth. I wound up marrying her sister 3 years ago. They show some resemblance but are still very different looking. My relationship with her is very similar to a mother in law. Although she is only 33, she has 4 kids and acts much older than her age. We get along but have never had a friend type of relationship because of her generally serious demeanor. Over the years I've spent many parties, BBQs, etc getting long glimpses of her incredible feet. I got incredibly horny one day when she brought up the subject of her having the nicest feet in the family. She has said it many times since, which is somewhat out of character for her. But I never had any sort of opening to realistically touch them, etc Tara Carver seems to have the perfect life. A loving mother and wife, and a business woman who runs her own company, she’s the sort of person you’d want to live next door to, who might even become your best friend. This left me feeling annoyed and completely pissed off! It's so upsetting how the events in the plot played out, probably so I could have some sympathy for a lying-cheating-mess of a woman like Tara. Damn. The outcome of this book was so unfair. I didn't like it. It took me a ton of patience to finish this. I hate Tara. I hate how the other characters were written and portrayed to be shallow fillers and diversions.

Overall, a really good and enjoyable psychological thriller that examines bad choices, harsh life lessons and bitter regrets and loss. Having the perfect life, Tara Carver a loving mother and wife with her own successful business, makes the biggest mistake of her life. After sleeping with a married man whilst on a business trip in Tokyo, she’s unable to shake the one night off when the man insists on a serious relationship with her. On returning home, he won’t leave her or her loving family alone until she agrees. How will she escape his clutches? And will it involve murder? I like the idea of giving them equal weight, a good device for seeing their learning within the story, the way revelations hit them. Like when Christian discovers Tara’s got a second phone, its huge, I liked that. The thing that I’m working on now is told from one perspective and there’s a certain appeal to that, a clean uncluttered line but there’s also something to be said for multiple perspectives, as long as you give them equal weight, as long as they’ve got equal validity, as long as you’re sympathetic to both characters, as long as they are credible as two distinct voices. I want people to have a stake in them whatever they’re capable of, good people do bad things. My home office window is about 15 metres from my neighbour’s bedroom. We’re on the 3 rd floor, so maybe she thinks she isn’t visible, but she never draws the blinds. I don’t stare, but when I do glance out she’s often walking around naked. I’ve glimpsed her drying her hair, twerking near the window, even felating her boyfriend! Many men might think this is a bonus, not a problem, but I’m not a sexist or a perve. I’m feeling embarrassed, uncomfortable, and fearful of being accused of voyeurism. It’s mortifying when I bump into her in the street. Help. This book was very difficult to put down and explores the very realistic devastation an illicit one night stand can cause and it’s consequences. I could picture each scene clearly due to the excellent storytelling and I’m sure this would make a fabulous movie. Happily recommended and I look forward to reading the Max Wolfe series, that I already have to read. There’s a lot of stuff in the novel that seems personal to parsons, like the choice of careers the couple had in the past.
