When using it as a coarser chopping blade, pulse a few times until you have achieved the desired consistency.

Grind your ingredients in small batches – no larger than an ounce or two – to prevent excess heat from building up inside the cup. For herbs, you’ll want to place the leafy part inside first, then put down your stem before using the adjustable pulse dial at high speed. Most Nutribullets work with two different blades: one for blending and one for milling. The blending blade, which Nutribullet calls the extractor blade, has four prongs. The milling blade has just two, which are flatter in design. You can use this blade to grind up grains, coffee beans, spices, and seeds! The milled powder will be finer than the milled particles you get with your other blades.

To prevent overheating, never allow the motor to run for one minute at a time, as it can cause permanent damage to the motor. If the motor stops working, unplug the Power Base and let it cool for an hour before attempting to use it again. Your nutribullet has an enternal thermal breaker that shuts off the unit when it overheats. The Power Base will reset when the unit is unplugged and the thermal breaker cools down. The Balance can also connect to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. You can then use the Nutribullet Balance app to access recipes and blending advice and, uniquely for the Balance, monitor the nutritional composition of your smoothie creations.

Don’t grind for too long, as the heat from the blades will heat up your grinds and degrade their quality. With daily usage, you will need to replace the blades every 7 to 8 months. If you use it more carefully less than a few times a week, the blades will work great for around 2 years. Can you buy new NutriBullet blades? There is widespread confusion with the NutriBullet line of blenders between the NutriBullet Pro 900 blender and the NutriBullet 600 blender. Both are solid blenders and highly recommended for anyone seeking to easily live a healthier and more nutritious life. To use this blade for grinding nuts, start by pulsing the nuts in short bursts (about 5-10 seconds) until they’re coarsely ground. Make sure you fill the jug as recommended in the instructions for best results, usually starting with the driest ingredients first and finishing with liquid. Avoid blending without liquid, unless you're using the milling blade. It's also important not to go above the maximum fill line.

How long will it take?

There are lots of recipes available, so it might be best to start with these and then adapt them to suit your tastes. The cups vary in size between 0.6 litres and 1.3 litres, and some pricier models come with a jug unit for making larger batches. You can get two different blades with the Nutribullet – one for blending liquids and one for milling hard foods – as well as a comprehensive recipe book. Are Nutribullets juicers?

Cleaning a Nutribullet blender is simple: remove the blending cup from the base, then you can either wash it by hand or put it in the dishwasher (top shelf only). You'll need to handwash the lid, which houses the blades. The NutriBullet Pro blenders come with one 32 oz. container accompanied by a spill-proof lid that allows you to add more ingredients midway through the drop-in hole in the middle of it. There are also two self-serve jars of 24 oz. and 18 oz. These two are convenient for making and drinking smoothies on the go. All the containers are made of BPA-free plastic materials that make them easy to clean because they are dishwasher friendly. The containers are tested to withstand the power and speed generated from the powerful motor base. They are scratch-proof, so the larger container has measurement markings on it and a max line marking.
