per example, why some guys think saurus are good now? they were useless before, now they doubled his cost but only doubled his wounds.... gw forgot to double his dmg too. so in reality they are like 25% worse than a allready bad scroll. FauxHammer – Latest Video on YouTube Seraphon Army Set – Review and Miniatures First Look – Summary Skink Priest –Presumably because the model was old and it was hard to give it something to do with the hero heavy book. Can always proxy the model as a Star Priest. With the new Kroxigor I thought it might be time to work on Lizards again, and specifically a Kroxigor centric army now that they can be battleline. They do however appear to have not done enough sunbathing as they are now slower than before and can’t keep up with their little palls.

In Battletome: Seraphon, the might of the heavens is yours to command! This tome of rules, art and lore is your complete guide to these avenging lizardmen and their monstrous armies. Discover why the Seraphon came to the Mortal Realms, how their society works, from the celestial beings known as the Starborne to the savage reptilian Coalesced. Learn their lore, get inspired and field an army for yourself with a suite of powerful and thematic rules, including allegiance abilities, spell lores, artefacts and more. [1] Drain Magic is another excellent buff considering you’re going to have so many spell casters, and Tepok’s will really help with the new Skink calvary and keeping them alive. Lastly, it’s nice you can get Comet’s Call again to smash the enemy! You’ll see this big yellow chap very much sets the theme for how I’ve painted everything else in this box. Saurus WarriorsStormcast Eternals - Nighthaunt - Beasts of Chaos - Gloomspite Gitz - Flesh-Eater Courts - Skaven - Blades of Khorne - Fyreslayers - Hedonites of Slaanesh - Sylvaneth - Cities of Sigmar - Orruk Warclans - Ossiarch Bonereapers - Ogor Mawtribes - Slaves to Darkness - Disciples of Tzeentch - Kharadron Overlords - Seraphon - Lumineth Realm-lords - Sons of Behemat - Hedonites of Slaanesh - Daughters of Khaine - Lumineth Realm-lords - Soulblight Gravelords Drain Magic –This spell makes it much easier for you to disrupt your opponent’s magical capabilities, making it more difficult for them to cast their own spells or unbind yours. Time Slows– Power 11+ (d3 mortal wounds for failure). Friendly Seraphon wholly within, sigh, 6” get strike-first until the end of the turn.

The Earth Trembles –This spell can be cast in a straight line to inflict mortal wounds to enemy units in its path. GW just keeps the new Seraphon models coming! This is an excellent time to be a Seraphon fan, as they are getting one of the biggest reworks we’ve seen in a while for AoS. This is such a clever redesign. So many elements from the original model are still present – from the Skinks attending the Starmaster to the tusks protruding from his seat, this is an evolution of the original design that remains delightfully truthful to its source material. What’s more, he’s not actually all that difficult to put together. What may seem like quite a complicated build at first does begin to make a lot of sense once you get into the swing of it.

Unless I missed something or they errata it, that doesn't work until late engagement. The number of Endless Spells you can control is a separate rule from how many you can cast in a single turn. They total for each happens to be 1 by default, but increasing the first doesn't inherently increase the second.

Coalesced Slann and Skink Wizards get access to the Lore of Ancient Domains and Lore of Primal Jungles respectively. Let’s look at the Lore of Ancient Domains first. while this feature still seems to be a part of the seraphon, at least it is now as it seems kept to one subfaction while the other seems to have lost it. A Starborne Seraphon army gains access to a number of unique Battle Traits. The first is L ords of Space and Time which grants access to two unique Heroic Actions for your Slann units. Contemplation of the Ancient Ones allows you to swap a spell that a friendly Slann knows for another from the Lore of Celestial Domination, granting some useful utility mid-battle and allowing you to adjust your repitoire of spells on the fly as a battle progresses. The second, Spatial Translocation allows you to remove a friendly Starborne unit within range of a Slann and set it up again anywhere on the battlefield (with the usual 9″ restrictions).

Books

There are some pretty ornate details on the model, and it should float reasonably high above the rest of your lizards. If you want more magic, you can’t go wrong with this. Skink Star Like Chamelon skinks these are guys you slot in with some leftover points, to keep your opponent on their toes so they don’t know when you’ll appear behind them to snag a point they so absent mindedly left open. Terrawings

One of the few old sculpts to survive the purge, it is very funny to see them sitting next to their new big brothers. Now no longer the ‘elite’ melee combatants of the foot Saurus world, with regular Warriors catching the same combat profile, Guard come with a baseline 3+ save and the Selfless Protectors rule allowing them to catch incoming wounds and mortal wounds on a 3+ for non-monster Seraphon heroes. At 130 for 5 these are really spendy for what they are, but the catch is: they’re the only unit that does this job. If you’re playing Starborne your gameplan probably revolves around keeping a Slann alive. These keep your Slann alive, and therefore have a role. Skinks Relocation Orb –Allows a wounded Slann to teleport to within range of a cosmic node at the end of a phase in which it suffered wounds (with the usual 9″ restrictions). Overall, a very nice lore set. Good mix of utility that can be hot swapped with a Heroic Action as needed. Lore of Celestial Manipulation (Skinks) The Starmaster comes with a number of options for different arms, faces and trinkets. There are also plenty of choices to make around building his floating palanquin and which skinks will attend to his needs. Spacefolder’s Stave –A really powerful artefact that allows you to summon units of Seraphon within 7″ of an enemy rather than 9″!

Allies

Starborne Slann are also the ones you want if you’re a fan of heavenly ordnance and want access to the classic Comet’s Call ability. Nothing fancy for the metal of the spear, I used my usual Vallejo Mecha Color Steel for this. Similar with the various trinkets and trim I used Retributor Gold as it’s a nice easy gold paint staple. What do you cash these points in on? Well it’s sort of Khorne-lite, you have both a list of summons and special abilities to spend it on, to compensate for how easy it is to generate CPP, they do cost a bit extra than those. After the wash dried the obsidian was highlighted dechala lilac and the gold with stormhost silver. With the model now complete I turned my attention to the base, to keep it simple I used armageddon dunes, it was then washed reikland fleshshade. Improved Skink Chiefs –The non-Wizard skinks tended to be…not great. Some tweaks to their rules make these guys a bit more impressive.
