Rise to all the challenges of the most comprehensive, realistic and demanding rally simulation ever developed. Dive into the heart of the action and drive the cars from the 2022 WRC championship, including the new hybrid models. The difference between a 1972 Lancia Fulvia HF and a 1997 Ford Escort Mk VI Maxi is vast: like going from a boot of Italian leather, warmly broken and rich with give, to a New Balance running shoe, with its springy sole and double-knotted refusal to slip. What's more, the stages (of which there are some 204, with 12 of the 13 official WRC 2023 locations present and correct) offer a catalogue of vivid textures. Try driving a 1964 Mini Cooper S in Sweden, among snowy spruces, and note the hard, flinty smoothness of the turns. The weather, too, though not dynamic, plays a fine supporting role. One run, along a sunny alpine ridge, feels starkly different to a similar setting after the rain; you go from sliding neatly round dry and crumbly bends, as if the course had been dusted with instant coffee granules, to a pebble-crammed slurry of doom. The only other caveat is the asphalt handling, which has been tweaked, but perhaps not for the better – at least, not for controller players. The sheer responsiveness of the cars on asphalt is acceptable on my Thrustmaster TS-XW racing wheel, but on a controller it’s extremely twitchy and very difficult to sling high-powered cars into drifts without oversteering instantly. I’ve tried dulling the sensitivity and adjusting the steering linearity but I don’t think I’ve found the right solution yet. Fixed an issue where brightness in interior views was either over or underexposed in certain conditions at Mexico.

We also have a full list of compatible wheels for EA Sports WRC if you're not sure if yours will work. Fixed an issue where brightness in interior views was either over or underexposed in certain conditions at Sweden. Fixed an issue where in-game menus could not be navigated while using the Fanatec GT DD Pro with the Fanatec ClubSport Steering Wheel BMW GT2 V2. Personally, I didn’t like the latest games in either of those series. Dirt Rally 2.0 was so hardcore that it took the fun out of rally games, and Dirt 5 is unrecognizable as a rally game. IMMERSIVE - Revel in euphoric moments as you battle the elements across dirt, snow and asphalt in the pursuit of the perfect runResolved an issue where interrupting the starting countdown would cancel out the instructor’s voiceover. Fixed an issue where in-game menus could not be navigated while using the Fanatec ClubSport Steering Wheel BMW GT2 V2.

Resolved an issue where the resolution option was greyed out when launching the game with AMD Eyefinity disabled. Made a number of performance improvements and optimisations to Kenya, including reducing the possibility of screen tearing.Fixed an issue where brightness in interior views was either over or underexposed in certain conditions at Scandia. DonkeyFantasy IIRC, the first Dirt game was a rebranded sequel to the Colin McRae games. But over time, the Dirt sequels became more and more arcade-y. The Dirt Rally games were made to give people a more hardcore sim series — alongside the Dirt releases — and this EA WRC game is a rebranded sequel to those. I was quite disappointed to see that visuals have not necessarily been upgraded even slightly since last year either, especially with objects pop-in being so obvious. For now, the 120 Hz mode seems to be the best way to play the game if your TV supports it. Want to dominate on both controller and wheel? We've got guides for both the best controller and the best wheel settings. Adjusted Co-Driver call timings for the “Earliest”, “Earlier” and “Normal” settings, to deliver pace notes earlier.

Roughness if it's not too bad I don't mind even if it does matter. But yeah some details will be a bit disappointing. VR would have been nice for sure.Being the official WRC game, all teams and drivers from the 2022 WRC season will be in WRC 11. This means you’ll be putting the new Ford Puma Rally1, Hyundai i20 N Rally1, and Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 through their paces. Option to increase subtitles size. Includes colour blind settings for people with deuteranopia, protanopia, and tritanopia. Mono Mix can be adjusted, and the left and right audio channels can be re-balanced. Full button remapping, and extensive options for driving assists.

For the 50th anniversary of the World Rally Championship, WRC 10 also featured an expanded roster of classic rally cars in a special Anniversary mode. We're hoping historic cars will return in WRC 11, but we’ll have to wait until the game is announced to find out. So I don’t know if I’ll like this game or not. Especially now that EA has their microtransaction-y hands all over it.
