Description

Folks, I suffer with bad sound so you don't have to. Please avoid the Klipsch R-41M unless you just want a speaker as an ornament. With an integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth wireless technology, digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs, your R-41PM is the best performing, most versatile monitor on the planet designed for effortless integration with turntable, TV, PC or wireless device. High Efficiency Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Klipsch The Fives's and Klipsch R-41PM's external dimensions. Klipsch The Fives has external dimensions of 314.3 x 165.1 x 282.6mm ( 12.375 x 6.5 x 11.125inch) whereas Klipsch R-41PM has external dimensions of 281.0 x 147.6 x 241.3mm ( 11.0625 x 5.8125 x 9.5inch) . This being said, I really like it. The R 41 PM exudes a pleasing combination of no-nonsense performance and a sense of being a little different. The horn assembly for the tweeter gives them an aesthetic that is different to their rivals (and it is helped by the fact that it is entirely functional than a spurious decoration) and the bronze finish on the IMG driver helps to liven up the aesthetic considerably. It’s also well made for the asking price. There’s a sense of robustness to the way it hangs together that is vaguely pro audio but with sufficient niceties to work in a domestic setting.

Klipsch R41 PM Powered Speakers Review | AVForums

This is a side view. Can't figure out if this is some mixing of driver and its port of the sides singing along. The hotness of the tweeter wears off when not listened to on-axis, improving the response some. Still nothing to write home about unless you want this type of EQ applied to every piece of music you play. The people who incorrectly think everyone's taste in speakers is different can perhaps explain why some people may want every note around 1 kHz in their music to be exaggerated. Designed for universal usage, this speaker can be used in various settings, including home entertainment systems and computer setups. The housing material is made of MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard), which is known for its sturdiness and acoustic properties. As the human ear perceives frequencies differently with variations in output, the R-41PM will dynamically match the ear’s ability to hear lower frequencies. Typically, only available with audio/video receivers, dynamic volume is a first for Klipsch powered monitors. What you get is powerful bass whether the listening volume is low, cranked up or somewhere in between. That should go a fair way towards balancing out the sound. Considering how directive the horns are, so your choice of on-axis angle is going to have a big impact. Granted, there's only so far you can go. 30 degrees off axis is about as far as is realisitic in a typical home setup. Though you could try extreme toe in too.

Klipsch R-41PM Review | PCMag

In this review, we will be comparing The Fives and R-41PM, two Powered Bookshelf speakers by Klipsch Being Powered speakers, they both have built-in amplifiers so you don't need an external power amp or an integrated amp to power them. Let's have a brief look at the main features The Klipsch Reference R-41PM speaker is an all-in-one audio solution that comes with an amplification device included, making it convenient for users. Currently we use ranking methodology 0.7.2: being included in the expert ranking scores points. Being ranked #1 carries a lot more points. Being included in top 3 also carries bonus points. Then the point value of every endorsement is adjusted by a geometric progression with common ratio slightly below 1. In other words, product ranked #1 carries a lot more weight than product ranked #6; product ranked #6 carries slightly more weight than product ranked #8.Sivusto on kaikille lukijoille ilmainen. Pyrimme tarjoamaan myös mainoksissa mahdollisimman paljon sisältöä tukevaa materiaalia. Vedän pienokaisia vielä parikymmentä senttiä seinustalta irti ja bassopää rauhoittuu ronkelin hifistin makuun sopivammaksi. R-41PM:n soinnissa on ilman Dynamic BAss EQ:takin annos isottelua, pikkukaiutin koittaa uskotella olevansa kokoistaan järeämpi ja yleensähän sellainen ei täydellisesti onnistu. We’ve seen some strong products in this field over the years and there has been a commensurate rise in true active models as well but Klipsch ought to have a small advantage in this field. For starters, they’re not exactly inexperienced in the business of making speakers with over sixty years of product behind them (and some of their models have been in production pretty much the entire time). They also have enough experience with the electronics side of the equation to suggest that they should be OK there too. We’re passionate about the TV, hi-fi and home cinema products that we sell, but we also know that our customers have a lot of great ideas about what we should cover in our blog! Analogisia tuloja on niitäkin kaksi.

Klipsch R-41PM | Hi-Fi Choice

So we are done with how this speaker is going to "sound." It is going to sound very bright and uneven on-axis (speaker pointed at your ears). Toed out it will sound better but the measurements say avoid this speaker. I got 86dB for sensitivity (rounding up), and +/-6.4dB in their stated +/-3dB range, I really wanna know their parameters for these specs. Tuttu Billie Holidayn I’m a Fool to Want You rävähtää soimaan vahvasti läsnäolevana ja kiitettävän suurena. Billien artikulaatio toistuu hyvin selvänä ja näin pienikokoisiksi kaiuttimiksi R-41PM piirtää aivan asiallisen stereokuvankin. Diskantin suuntain ja suuntaimen muotoinen kehys bassoelementillä auttavat oleellisesti asiaa.

I wouldn't buy or recommend this speaker, but to play devil's advocate, that PIR isn't as bad as I expected, and 1K peak should be fairly easy to EQ and wouldn't be the worst thing in the world as it is is fairly high Q. The elevated 2.5k peak, 3.5k dip, and shelfed up treble beyond are definitely the worst issues to my eyes. Over 1000 points around the speaker were measured (from 20 to 20 kHz) which resulted in well under 1% error in identification of the sound field emanating from the speaker up to about 18 kHz. Above that the error increases slightly. Final database of measurements and data is 1.4 Gigabytes in size. Considering that each cabinet stands just 250mm tall and boasts fairly average amplifier power figures, the R-41PM sounds surprisingly big. Listening to Nils Frahm’s All Melody streamed from Qobuz via the USB connection from a laptop is a genuinely enjoyable experience. The piano has a pleasing sense of scale and texture and there is far more bass weight than one might reasonably expect from a cabinet of this size.

R-41PM Powered Speakers (Pair) | Klipsch

For the best sound from your PC, Mac or laptop, use the USB Audio input. This digital connection is ideal for hearing your stored or streaming music services at their very best – including Hi-Res music files. It’s also fun. The Klipsch powers through the joyous People Give In by the Manic Street Preachers with a feeling of boundless energy and rhythmic assurance. It isn’t the last word in fine detail and tonal richness- although playing the same material via the Yamaha WX-AD10 into the analogue input suggest that at least some of this can be laid at the door of the digital decoding rather than any limitation of the speaker section of the Klipsch. This is a speaker that wants to engage you and get the head nodding over and above the need to tell you what colour underpants the lead vocalist happened to wearing that day. American speaker manufacturer Klipsch have been around for over 70 years and are easily recognisable from their “horn-loaded” driver designs. Whether it’s their extensive hi-fi range or their home cinema products, the distinctive hallmark features on all of them and serves as a fantastic unique selling point for the company.
