A: All of our scanners with native USB just plug and play with Windows 10. For older models (i.e. “XT” or “X” models) that have a serial connection, older USB-1 cables will not work, as Prolific changed their drivers several years ago to only work with their newer chipset that has anti-counterfeit features. At that time, we changed the chipset in our USB-1 cables. So, if you have an older USB-1 cable it won’t work with Windows 10 (or really w/8 using current drivers). Newer (last couple of years) cables will work. This scanner is cheaper than the Uniden Bearcat UBC3500XLT (now discontinued) but is still capable of receiving both civilian and military aircraft transmissions. It will also receive emergency, marine, amateur (ham radio) and other communications. ARC125 is a programming software designed for the Uniden BC125AT / UBC125XLT and the UBC126 scanners. It is a versatile memory editor available on the market including cut/copy/paste options. You can also move channels up and down, import and export CSV data.

A compact amplified speaker ideal for use with handheld radios such as scanners, Amateur & CB, where the output from them is not powerful enough to drive a normal speaker. In addition to all the features on the unit, there is optional software available for PC programming. There are a number of videos on Youtube that may help you, even if their production leaves much to be desired :-) also ensure you install the Scan125 according to the Driver Installation Instructions and the ProgramThe Scanner's memory is used to store your frequencies which are usually arranged into Banks and Channels. A Bank consists of a group of Channels and you can program a frequency into a Channel. The idea is that you could fill a Bank with specific frequencies for a particular airshow and just scan the Channels in that Bank. You could use other Banks to store Display Teams and/or Common Display Frequencies (used at many airshows). This helps to organise all the frequencies that you want to store on the scanner. Note that all scanners work slightly differently and you should always consult the manual for your particular model. This programming software is created specifically for the Uniden BC125AT / UBC125XLT and UBC126 scanners. This versatile memory editor offers a range of features, including cut/copy/paste options. Move channels up and down, as well as import and export CSV data. When finished entering in all of your frequencies you may hit scan. The scanner will now begin scanning your frequencies.

I believe tat your program works 110% as expected just me that was probably not doing something correct. I just decided to buy a copy of the arc125 software for my scanner.A scanner usually lets you set either AM (Amplitude Modulation) or FM (Frequency Modulation). The scanner may also have NFM (Narrow FM) and WFM (Wide FM) but for listening to aircraft transmissions you should only use the AM mode. Of course if you only have an old Serial port then you will need a serial to USB converter which will still enumerate as a COMn port and my program will happily work in this scenario. In addition to the frequency selection the more expensive scanners often allow you to switch the mode between AM & FM. On the cheaper ones this is often done automatically and you can not change it.
