Writing a modern day Jungle Book Adventure felt like a great next adventure for me, and life has taught me that our survival instinct is still part of the human spirit even in a world of mobile phones, & the Internet. When you’re stripped bare, you have to think on your feet.Climbing the northeast face of the summit of Everest, this book recounts his trip from the very beginning, as he goes out looking to get funding for his trip. It then proceeds to follow alongside him as he starts to traverse the legendary peak, all the way to the top, along with all his scrapes and mishaps on the way. Telling of the time he fell into a crevasse at nineteen thousand feet, it keeps the reader on the edge-of-their-seat throughout and, despite knowing the outcome still manages to keep them glued for the entire duration of the book. Will he get to the top? Can he survive this ordeal? What will become of the kid who climbed Everest? He suddenly became aware of a creature standing in the shadows watching him. But, strangely, Mak felt no fear. Then the gentle sound of rain resumed and all was calm once again. Except Mak, who was still clutching his legs and trembling in fear. He took the coin and began rolling it through his fingers. It was such an ingrained activity for him that he wasn’t consciously aware he was doing it, yet it was something familiar and soothing.

Setting up his personality overall, it manages to capture the spirit of adventure for which he has become so famous for now over the intervening years that followed.
