Description

Describing the sound quality of the BL-03s is easy, especially when you factor in the modest price: they sound fantastic. Now let’s break that down. Firstly, how these sound to you will certainly depend on how well you’re able to insert them in your own ears. The sweet spot is quite small, but once you hit it you’re rewarded with something really special, especially if you’ve never experienced IEMs before. Willing to spend 2k? Stretch your budget and get these instead. Do not import from China, headphonezone will provide local warranty. Treble: Treble sounded natural and airy sounding with an above average sparkle up top. They present with more emphasis and a decent number of details. No harshness was detected making them pleasant to most listeners. I know, I know. Yes, the latest hype is for beryllium or LCP (liquid crystal polymer) driver materials.

BLON BL-03 vs Tin HiFi T4: the T4 are a different kind altogether as they target a completely different curve. The T4 offer less bass, especially in the sub-bass section; speed is similar, but the T4 offer more physicality. Midrange is definitely brighter, thanks to a larger presence of the upper area; overall, the BL-03 appear more balanced and more detailed by a moderate margin. Treble is more extended on the BL-03, which also offer less detail. In terms of technical ability, the T4 offer similar soundstage width and similar imaging ability, but slightly worse instrument separation. Overall the two are similar enough to be largely comparable, with the largest difference being tuning. It’s probably also worth mentioning that there’s an option to buy these with a microphone, useful for pairing with a phone, or joining Zoom calls. The perfect pairing? Technical Specifications I prefer to use the bi-flange spinfit tips, which provide a deeper insertion and offer enough flexibility to seat the BL-03 securely, which is hard given their shape and short nozzle for me personally. As the BLON BL-03 sound really well, I am going to compare them to products from varying price ranges. That’s because they have been compared by some to top-of-the-line earphones. So let’s see how they hold up against various competitors: Neither the pouch, nor the cable, nor the tips are anything special. Although the cable is different and looks a little better than before, its plastic coating makes it easier to shape.Big, bold and open with a generous amount of bass boost that can easily reach deep enough and give the listener some pretty good rumbling with very satisfying results. Decent isolation (probably better with foam tips). Again read online that people consider its isolation to be poor. I never encountered this perhaps because it fit me fine.

Though lows are elevated ,its fairly textured and nuanced, just a bit slow . Wide staging ,good 3 d presentation, surprisingly good depth. Welcome to my Cliffnotes, a series where I push out rapid fire opinions of some of the IEMs I’ve heard but The treble has good energy and provides detail and airiness. There’s a peak in the lower treble that adds clarity to the overall presentation but avoids any sibilance. After the lower treble peak, the high frequencies taper off steadily. I am actually impressed with the mids of the BL-07 considering it is a bassy IEM, then again I cannot vouch that this is a bass heavy IEM which explains why the midrange still has good tonality.

BLON persists with the idea of a soft V-profile, trying to stretch the extension of the treble, although it remains soft, with a point of clipping due to a clear drop before the air region. The mids feel moderately delayed in front of the bass and first treble, which impoverishes the overall tuning result. Have been using the Blon BL03 for the past couple of years and have absolutely loved the experience. I find them painfully fatiguing to listen to, to the point where I pull them out and use the busted old pair of Soundmagic E11 or E10 they were meant to replace. The build quality is rather good for the price range. The BLON BL-03 is definitely not perfect, but it is built well enough to appear reasonably durable and resistant to a bit of abuse. The fact that the shell is made of just two pieces of metal also makes it more resistant than more complicated shells. The E3000 are mid-bass centric, and sub-bass extension isn’t the best, with a significant roll-off.

CONCLUDING REMARKSThe BL-MAX did not stand out or impress in a hyper-competitive market and got overshadowed by its own brethren. It’s a complicated situation where BLON is somewhat bogged down by their own success. Sources: Apple Dongle, Cayin RU7, Colorfly CDA M1, E1DA 9038D, Fiio KA13, iFi xDSD Gryphon, Khadas Tone Board DAC -> Schiit Asgard 3, Questyle M15, Shanling M0 Pro, Sony NW A-55 (Mr Walkman mod), Sony NW-WM1A (Mr Walkman mod), Truthear SHIO In short, the low end is a mixture of mixed feelings, some very enjoyable, others more diffuse, less well defined and of lower resolution. One misses a point of greater overall dryness.

Sound & Specs

The isolation is poor so you will hear every honk and every noise while on the move. I ride a bike so I prefer semi good isolation. BLON has been around for a while as an IEM/Headphone manufacturer (circa 2014 as per their logo). However, they reached stardom with the BLON BL-03 which have earned a place in our Wall of Excellence as the de-facto budget IEM. Since the breakout success of the BL-03, BLON has tried to re-capture the lightning in the bottle but never gained the same traction. U shaped to V- shaped to absurdity. It also doesn't have the best accessories around. So hearing the BL-07 is definitely a saving grace and I commend BLON with their improvements in the competition. Personally, I like my BL-03 since it came from the first batch

The Blon BL-MAX isn't able to provide the quality of layering that is needed for music with a more complicated and complex bass line.Disclaimer : This unit was won on a raffle between my audio peers. No money was involved during this review, rest assured that everything written on this review will be unbiased. Smooth operator? Smooth criminal? The keyword to describe the E3000 is “smooth”, as Santana would say! Comparisons One of the reasons headphones and earphones in India are more expensive than overseas is because of the Goods & Services Tax in India. U SHAPED SOUND SIGNATURE: The BLON BL-03 earphones are designed with a smooth U-shaped sound signature that ensures a seamless transition between the lower, mid, and higher-end frequencies. This creates a clear and balanced sound that is free from any muddiness or overlapping, allowing for crisp sound reproduction. The Heart Mirror are a pair of neutral bright IEMs, with a thinner note weight. The Heart Mirror have much less bass quantity, but bass quality is superior – tighter and faster, with better texture.
