I need to pull it together before I do the dumbest, most unprofessional thing—fall head over heels in love with the only assistant who’s lasted more than a month at the job and claims to hate me and my moods more than she hates eggnog. That should be a good thing. Eggnog and Christmas carols. Mistletoe and family. Except my dad broke his leg hanging the family wreath. My brothers are at war over taking proper care of Dad. Oh, and I just found out our family business, the Kringle Inn is failing!

You’re starting to mean a lot to me, Abigail,” he says, and because I’ve shelved the smart part of me temporarily, I just smile to myself. “Yeah, Damien."When it all is revealed at the Christmas party, I got second hand embarrassment bcos like we all knew it was going to crash and burn at some point. And then i expected her to have to grovel or at least SOMETHING. And nope. She runs after him and explains and all is well. 🫠 like it was cute what he says in that scene but like ??? Idk. If i expect the men to grovel when they mess up, the same goes for the women. Christmas” - 50 - while mentioned half a hundred times, this book was very much not holiday vibes. She just wanted to go to a Christmas party that happened at the end of the book. PDF / EPUB File Name: Tis_the_Season_for_Revenge_-_Morgan_Elizabeth.pdf, Tis_the_Season_for_Revenge_-_Morgan_Elizabeth.epub When the relationship starts to become something more than casual dating, and Abbie sees that the tough New York lawyer has a soft side, will she be able to follow through with her plan of deceit?

You consume me. I don’t know how you did it, but I have fallen madly, deeply, in love with you. Every moment of every day is consumed by thoughts of you, planning the future, dying to be with you.” So she does what every girl does when she’s broken up with: she calls her friends, gets drunk, dyes her hair, and formulates her plan for revenge. It just so happens that the universe supports her efforts and gives her the perfect match to prove to her ex that he made a huge mistake: his boss. Enter a mutual friend with a life-altering idea: swap homes for the holidays. For one perfect month, Greta and Truman will have a chance to experience a whole new world…and maybe fall in love with the partner of their dreams. But all holidays must end, and eventually, these two transplants will have to decide whether the love (and found family) they each discovered so far from home is worth fighting for. my biggest quibble with this book is the “lie by omission” conflict (how the h takes advantage of the H to futher her own agenda). 😑 i understand perfectly why the h goes about involving the H the way she does, but it would be less drama if she’d simply propose her idea to the H (he would totally help her). i suppose their romance would have no stakes if it happened the way i preferred. RELATIONSHIP TRAUMA IS REAL! I liked how everything about the trauma is explained in this book. The way Abbie realized each and every messed up thing her ex made her do, now that she's not wearing rose-tinted glasses! When you're so in love with someone who doesn't like you being yourself, you sometimes compromise so much just to please the other person that you lose a part of yourself, and you're not the person you used to be. You start hating yourself, the things you do, and second-guess your choices because the other person made you feel less about yourself. All these emotions were present here. I mostly relate to Cam and Kat because as a friend who had this experience with a friend, I can 100% say it's terrible, not just for the person going through this, but for the friends as well. Personally, I felt bad and regretted that I couldn't do anything for her, and even though you warn them, you just have to stay quiet because they are the ones in love, and they won't see what you're trying to tell them unless they realize it themselves. I related to this aspect of the book because I've seen all this comparing and having no self-esteem shit in real life!

That is, until he leaves her crying outside her apartment wearing a Halloween costume, having broken it off with her because she’s just not serious enough. She was just fun, he tells her - and now that Richard has becoming a partner at his law firm in his sights, he needs to focus on work. He might have a history with Isabelle, but this is just business. A Christmas-loving farm girl will not come between him and his ambition. Their whole relationship starts out as her getting revenge on her ex by getting with his boss which I loved that. And they both weren’t looking for anything serious but as soon as they go out on one date and they sleep together, those “nothing serious” lines get totally blurred. And that suddenness just didn’t work for me here. From #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Happened One Summer comes a romantic comedy about an accidental relationship between three smitten men...and one commitment phobic woman. Also, I know it’s been a while since I’ve taken high school Spanish but isn’t “rubia” Spanish for blonde? So my assumption is that it was meant to be used as a term of endearment like “blondie” but what was being used was the word that describes someone’s hair color…so idk that’s just what I substituted every time he called her “rubia”.

I loved Abbie too. I could relate to a lot of parts of her. She is amazing, she is unapologetically herself even though a certain someone tried to force her to be someone else🙄 el libro me gustó, un poco over the top en las escenas de sexo pero genuinamente me gustaron los personajes y esta bueno leer un personaje masculino que no es un sorete de mierda, love that for us!!! I want to give everything to a man and let him consume me. I want to fall so hard that I don’t know where up is. I want to be selfish, and I want to be his and his alone. I don’t want to share.” ✿⊱╮I really didn’t like her friend Camille? she just wanted this whole thing to go down to get closure for her fuxked up past which made me feel mixed things. Her other friend kat was alright. Richard is an absolute douche and he deserves to rot and the pranks they pulled on him were absolute top notch 😂

This is what you get for turning me into a desperate man. This is what you get for consuming my thoughts.” He was too perfect 😅😭😭 And not in the way where I simply don't expect basic decency from men in real life anymore, and I project that onto my romance reading material. In a way where, while characters can be decent and good, there should also be room for SOME flaws. The way it was written, the Richard vs. Damien situation was almost caricature-like. Right off the bat, I knew I wasn’t going to be that big of a fan of Abbie’s. I really couldn’t stand her personality but at the same time I felt sorry for her because her ex really did a number on her. But idk something with her didn’t hit right. Honestly, relatable 🤣 You don’t see hot, successful, tall, sexy, smart men in their 40s that often. I’d be drooling too ngl. In Tessa Bailey’s latest rom-com, two enemies team up to flip a house... and the sparks between them might burn the place down or ignite a passion that neither can ignore!gave me life with her inner monologue. I swear she’s so cute and her little character staples were adorable. I despised the way Richard influenced her so much but seeing her loving herself and learning how she should’ve been treated was the best. Country music’s golden boy Colton Wheeler felt the perfect harmony when he was with Gretchen Winthrop. But for her, it is “a love him and leave him” the situation. A year later, Colton struggles to push his music forward in a new direction. If it weren’t about to be the most magical time of year and the support of the Bromance Book Club, he’d be wallowing in self-pity.
