Overall, the construction is very good, the design is bold and eye-catching, but the performance is compromised, due to the ergonomics. Look for something shallow that barely protrudes from the nozzle but it should fit tight in your ears. This will produce the tight bass and not drop mids and the highs. Spinfit CP145 also fits, but this has a wider bore so bass is less pronounced with it on in general.

Build Quality: My pair of BL-03s came in Gunmetal Silver. Has a nice classy look and feel to it. The gunmetal finish gives it a premium feel. The BLON BL-03 stage dimensions are about average for a budget earphone. Wider than it is deep, sounds are spread out with good space in between. The stage position is slightly forward. Because of its width, instrument separation is above average and there is sufficient depth to enable some solid imaging as well. Comparisons So one option is longer eartips, or do a spacer mod of some kind (credit to these folks for their posts/pics): You may receive an “ideal sample” with the aforementioned linear response, or receive a unit that’s similar to the three that I have. It’s all lottery and I cannot guarantee anything. Finally I'd say this is amazing for its price I don't think the average music listener can get a better bargain than the BLONs at this price. It is better than anything I've heard so far. When I first listen to them I though they kinda sound quite low and had to increase the volume which is normal for other iems that I had listen to before. After spending some time, I came to realisation that these iems produce the musical quality at lower comfortable volumes and I do not have to crank the volume up. They are extremely detailed and airy and I can relax and listen to them for hours

TONALITY AND TECHNICALITIESIn a nutshell, the BL-MAX has a sub-bass boosted V-shaped signature with darker treble. Some also call this a W-shape these days. Alaina Castillo - Ocean Waves (Authorative bass, clean and clear. Great separation with sounds coming from all over. Vocals very forward and well detailed) If the included cable didn’t cause me such severe fit issues, I would definitely be adding the BLON BL-03 to my Best IEMs list. However, since I personally really need to use this earphone with a 3rd-party cable it makes me wary of recommending it outright. The bass tightens somewhat when the E3000 are fed enough power, but can sound very boomy and bloated if they are driven from a low-powered source. Midrange

What We Dig

Certain parts of the lower registers appear masked and overlaid, bass is one note sounding and not agile enough to keep up when things get busy and fast. I paired these iems with Moondrop Moonriver Ti 2 and I can say they do definitely sound so much better than any iem that I have or have owned before. The quality of the sound, the texture, clarity and tonality are very apparent and noticeable to me. They are very comfortable to wear and lightweight. The cable does not produce any noticeable microphonic noise and has 3 types of connection, 3.5 single ended, 4.4mm and 2.5mm balanced connector.

I drove them with my headphone amp ( Drop THX AAA 789), a Sony DAP and an iPad. They proved easy to drive with all three. I do not recommend the E3000 to be used on subways or in noisy environments, as outside noise gets in and affects the sound quality. Not to mention, some may boost the volume to overcome the external noise and this is surely not safe for long-term hearing health. The Heart Mirror are a pair of neutral bright IEMs, with a thinner note weight. The Heart Mirror have much less bass quantity, but bass quality is superior – tighter and faster, with better texture. The sound is so clear, and so involving that I think for many people, they would have to spend at least three times the money to hear a marked improvement. The cable is decent, and they look good. While I have heard about some people having issues with the fit, I didn’t have that problem.Compared to the Tin Hifi T3, which retails for about double what the BL-03 does, the BLON‌‌ IEM‌ matched up very well. Just like a pair of speakers, which one you would prefer over the other is probably based on what you put the priority on as a listener. In my opinion, BLON is still going round in circles about the tuning of its most successful model, but without taking off from it, nor surpassing the value of that time. So let me put this straight. I am coming from Focal Spark and sr850. Mic on focal went kaput within a few months and both the metal casings popped open last week. For a brand as renowned as focal, the quality turned out really bad. No complains on the sound quality though. Even the mic was really good while it worked. It's just that it worked for only a year. Anyway.. Let me get my one issue with the BL-03s out of the way first. There’s a lot to like about these miniature wonders, but fit, at least into my relatively narrow ear canals, is definitely not one of them. The cable is a little above average, but it has a tendency to get a bit of shape due to its unique plastic coating.

Treble is remarkable in how it is tuned. It offers a relatively linear response, with just the upper frequencies that roll off and become inaudible. There’s a bump in the middle region, though, which helps with clarity and lends the sound air and space. The overall tuning is airy, pleasantly sparkling and never offensive. Those sensitive to treble will probably want to equalise it down half a notch, but everyone else will probably just enjoy it as it’s never aggressive, sibilant or excessively present. It’s also well detailed, so details emerge clearly and are always identifiable. There’s not a large presence of micro-details, but this is expected and it’s remarkable enough that there are micro-details at all. I know, I know. Yes, the latest hype is for beryllium or LCP (liquid crystal polymer) driver materials. The Astrotec Vesna are a neutral bright set, easier to drive and with less bass than the E3000. Though the Vesna have less bass quantity, the bass is cleaner and tighter. The Vesna have a thinner note weight and poorer technicalities (imaging, instrument separation and soundstage). In an unconventional (but not unique) take on bass, sub-bass is the area where most focus is. It reaches the deepest frequencies with enough volume for them to be perfectly audible, and the fact that the volume decreases after them instead of increasing as usual makes them especially noticeable. I would say that the resulting signature is not neutral at all, despite being absolutely enjoyable: it has a bit too much sub-bass and mid-bass than what ideal neutrality would dictate. Plus, it’s sometimes a bit overbearing. What this emphasis entails, though, is that bass is absolutely fun to listen to, as it’s clean enough. It’s not super-detailed, nor super-fast, nor very good at layering, but it’s good. In all these fields it’s competent enough to be very enjoyable even for critical listening. The only thing that’s not really there is the physical aspect: impacts do not convey too much of a physical sensation. Describing the sound quality of the BL-03s is easy, especially when you factor in the modest price: they sound fantastic. Now let’s break that down. Firstly, how these sound to you will certainly depend on how well you’re able to insert them in your own ears. The sweet spot is quite small, but once you hit it you’re rewarded with something really special, especially if you’ve never experienced IEMs before.
