He has the head of a man, the body of a dog, and the heart of a hero!!! He is employed as a cop, and is occupied at home with the creativity of Lil' Petey and 80-HD. One day, due to his slobby nature, a cop told Dog Man that he needed a bath. Dog Man then ran away, as he hated baths. The cops then searched the city for him, but were unable to find him. While in hiding, Dog Man discovered that Petey had escaped, which made him feel guilty. Dog Man left from hiding and searched for Petey.

Dog Man arrives at the police station and the Mean Officers start bullying him because of his cone. Dog Man presses the button on the top, which causes him to change into his Mecha-Suit. The mean officers run away in fright after this encounter, and they hide behind the plant Dog Man usually hides behind. Dog Man turns off the Mecha-Suit and discovers that Chief is writing a love letter to Nurse Lady. Dog Man doesn't like the letter, and expresses this by blowing a raspberry. Chief crumples it up and throws it away and admits that he'll always be alone. Dog Man then comforts Chief after realizing what he's done. Everything is fixed with “strong stuff”; Tape, glue, acrylic latex caulk. When it seems nothing is wrong, a Mite named Junior busts in, and calm Uncle Larry explains it is a microscopic Demodex Mite, while being swallowed. The Supa Buddies change, but are incomplete with 80-HD holding the sub. Molly decides to take his place, and 80-HD sees her a costume – a purple mask and cape hybrid made from a fabric. All the while Sarah and Petey are swallowed by the mite. Molly also wants to find her superhero name, but has no time. Soon, the Supa Buddies are all swallowed. The book acts as Pilkey’s voice spoofing protests made internationally during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CDP Theatre Producers is bringing Dog Man: The Musical in Australia, with Josh Whitten playing as Dog Man. Touring begins this June 23-25 in Brisbane, to be followed in Sydney and Perth in the following weeks. Chief is very surprised that Dog Man is wearing a cone. He takes Dog Man home, and Nurse Lady says she notices (and likes) Chief's slippers. Chief is happy (although, his expression looks like he has a crush on Nurse Lady).
