Description

The Ender-3 V2 Neo’s full-metal Bowden extruder offers greater durability, extrusion force, and smooth feeding and retracting of filaments. This is one of the features that pay off in the long run. The Ender-3 V2 Neo has a 220 x 220 x 250 mm build volume – the same as the original Ender 3s. It can 3D print pretty much any size of object you expect from a desktop printer. The PC-coated flexible magnetic spring steel build plate on the Ender 3 V2 Neo offers excellent adhesion and a hassle-free usage experience. A little flex of the bed material is all it takes to separate the 3D prints. The smooth bed surface requires little to no cleaning. However, the bed surface is more susceptible to damage than other materials, and it can be difficult to remove prints in some cases. Although the two Neo printers share the same build volume, they do not have the same physical dimensions. The Ender 3 Neo has a total size of 440×440×465mm, while the Ender 3 V2 Neo’s dimensions are 438×424×472mm. Mainboard For best results, you might want to use Creality filaments on their printers. A good example is this roll of 1.75 mm PLA that came with our printer.

As the Ender 5 Pro has a slightly larger build volume, the bed takes slightly longer to heat than on the Ender 3 V2. A BigTreeTech SKR board can be used as a drop in replacement (in case you want, say, independent dual Z motor control). It has been reported that the skr mini e3 v3 will work. (Thanks u/Lamb-thesheep.) Note that the skr mini e3 does not provide two Z axis drivers even thought it has two headers for the Z axis. In other words, it can't move a dual Z axis independently. For this particular set of prints we had power outages unfortunately, which the Ender 3 V2 Neo recovered from owing to its power outage recovery features (discussed further in the next section!). The print quality would have been smoother without these issues most likely, and when it had an uninterrupted run, the print quality was high. Resume Printing – Print Resume / Filament Run-Out Sensor The Ender 5 Pro has a metal-extruder, which helps iron some of the more common Bowden issues such as filament jams and clogs. The Ender 3 V2 instead uses a plastic alternative, but this is easily upgraded. There is a printable shroud to hold an 80mm fan for the mainboard. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5563110 Heat BreakFirst, it uses linear rods to guide the Y axis movement, which is an improvement over the Ender 3 V2 Neo that should provide a bit more stability. For similar stability reasons, it also includes a second Z axis leadscrew, allowing it to raise both sides of the gantry at once rather than relying on a single leadscrew. Its worth noting that the Ender 3 V3 still uses a single Z motor on the left side; the right Z rod is driven using a belt across the top of the printer. This is a clever design choice since the Z axis does not require much power, and the shared drive ensures they stay in sync. This was one of the major improvements on the Ender-3 V2 Neo. Its build plate is removable, bendable, and made out of steel. So far, we’ve seen how similar the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo are in various aspects. But, the Ender 3 V2 Neo is more expensive than the Ender 3 Neo, so what do you get for the added cost? We’ll cover the differences between the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo in this section. Bed Material The Creality Ender 3 V3 SE and Ender 3 V2 Neo differ in a few important ways, such as their extruder style and user interface. We’ll cover these differences in detail and point out where you may benefit from choosing one of these printers over the other. Extruder and Hot End In 2023, the release of the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE represents an even bigger step forward. This printer offers an impressive feature set and polished appearance at a surprisingly low price, and we’re excited to see it as a new entry-level 3D printer in the market. We think that for a lot of users, the Ender 3 V3 SE may be an ideal choice for their next printer.

Side filament roll holder. This is the first functional thing I printed because the default filament placement puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the extruder and the filament due to the location and weird angles. There are various designs including ones that directly mount with screws and ones that slide into the channels on the frame. An alternative would be to print a filament guide. The Ender 3 V2 sports a maximum extruder temperature of 255°C and a maximum bed temperature of 110°C. The Ender 5 Pro features a maximum nozzle temperature of 260°C and a maximum bed temperature of 110°C. There are a few other minor differences between the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo, which are not dealmakers or dealbreakers in themselves. Still, they are some nice-to-haves for the more premium model. These include an integrated toolbox and belt tensioners, which add to the improved usability and polish of the Ender 3 V2 Neo. Bed handle. I think these are the same as for other Ender 3 models with the same sized bed, but it's nice to have a way to easily manipulate the bed without having to touch the surface.

Intro

A much better all-metal extruder smoothes filament loading and extrusion consistency with a handy adjustable bolt to fine-tune gear pressure to suit different filament types. The Ender 5 Pro swaps the plastic tubing for brand name Capricorn Bowden PTFE tubing, raising the printer’s printing potential when fed flexible materials and cutting down on unwanted movement and other common filament loading problems. The upgraded UI adds a model preview function, making it easier to observe the printing shape and progress for customers. It is convenient for you to know about the model status. Also, it supports nine languages for different customers’ demands. What’s inside of Ender-3 V2 Neo? Both the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE and Ender 3 V2 Neo include automatic bed leveling with the Creality CR-Touch sensor. Automatic bed leveling improves the reliability of your 3D printer by probing the bed height in a grid pattern before printing, ensuring an accurate first layer. This results in improved print quality and greatly reduces the possibility of printing failures.
