so, the author positions this book like enemies to lovers and it’s not even nearly it. it’s just one-night stand to lover or something like that. but they had absolutely no banter or tension. winslow(h) and griffin(H) both are super boring people and i’m not interested in them or their lives at all. they literally have no personality atp and i won’t even remember their names a week later. there was even a line about their chemisty being “off the charts”.. they’re such clowns. Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montana's new chief of police, she's determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didn't earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor. Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she’s trying to forget. He’s insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she’s an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths. h (heroine) rating: 3.5 stars. Winslow. I appreciated how strong she was and how she wasn’t needy with Griffin.

Every time she mentioned that Griffin had a cowboy belt, boots and hat and ran a farm, this is all I could see: Winslow Covington is the new chief of police in Quincy, Montana. On her first night in town she has a one night stand, with what they call “Quincy royalty” also know as Griffin Eden. Indigo Ridge is an urban oasis in booming Cedar Park, Texas—the premier growth city in the North Austin corridor—with the second fastest growing workforce in the United States. The mixed-use development includes office, living, retail/dining, hotel, and recreational uses. It will be the premier destination to dine, shop, work, live, and relax.

Winn and Griffin are definitely cute together, they fit together. I kinda liked how smooth their relationship was, even tho none of them wanted a relationship. This book was a mystery/romance. I went into it completely blind which was the best way to do it. I had no idea where this book was going the entire time and it made for the best experience. The twists and mysteries in this book were so so so good it had me not able to put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen.

This was so enjoyable and I am so impressed, that by the end of it, even if I am not 100% attracted to cowboys, I can look past that and say Griffin can country boy my as* any time.

Overall it was a really enjoyable read. It is a two POV book which we get to experience from Winn´s and Griffins POVs. The romance was sweet, the murder mystery was really good and with that I am looking foward to dive into Junper Hill. The neighborhood limestone elements, together with the local farming and ranching heritage, have significantly influenced Indigo Ridge’s design. Winslow was the type of heroine I enjoy. Tough when needed but not so hard core I couldn’t relate to her. She was carrying emotional scars that were, literally, a nightmare. My heart was broken by her struggle but once I learned the full story, I was horrified as well. Closure: This ends with a pretty good epilogue and what I would call a HEA ending they’re married with a child
