Description

The Olympus Olympus 10x50 DPS-1 binoculars ( learn more here! )are the ideal pair for a blossoming explorer or seasoned traveller and will surely be perfect for you too. Let’s have a look at why: But, my humble opinion is that, rather than getting 10x50, go with 8x40. Olympus DPS I 8x40 bins are simply superb. Theh are not bulky, have less weight with great field of view and the performance is equal or better than the 10x50 versions. Field of view is 371ft /1000 yards. A great field of view, probably equal or better than many other roofs and porros for 10x magnification. The view is quite wide and it is a pleasure to watch fast moving warblers with these bins.

Olympus 10X50 DPS I Binoculars – Procular

If you have tried excellent optics bins like nikon monarch, leupold golden ring or swift audobon, probably you may not like this olympus bin. But, for anyboldy who is on tight budget, they are a steal in this price range. These bins gives you crystal clear image, with wide field of view. But the image gets more soft on the edges. 2/3 of the view is pretty sharp and deliver crisp images. But, still its a great value. In a world where you can be anything and do anything, choose to be an adventurer, choose to do more. The Olympus Olympus 10x50 DPS-1 binoculars are worthy of your trust and investment, so what are you waiting for?

The 7-15x35 Zoom DPS R model offers a 7-15x zooming capability for versatile and dynamic viewing. Its one-touch operation is as simple as moving the zooming lever. General purpose binoculars – These binoculars were manufactured to be used for a variety of purposes so no matter what interests you in terms of observation you can be sure you will get a great experience from these binoculars. The only activities these aren’t recommended for are astronomy and indoor views like being at the theatre. Heavy duty – These binoculars consist of 855 grams in weight so they are definitely built to last, but not recommended to use for hours without a tripod.

Olympus Binoculars Binoculars and Scopes - Jessops

Yes, Procular ships throughout the UK, EU, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and to over 200 countries worldwide. International delivery time is approximately 7 to 14 business days. Aspherical optics – The aspherical optics will provide its users with a distortion-free view of their surroundings. These binoculars are simply amazing for the price they go for, and are probably one of the cheapest binoculars out there that can still provide high quality views for their users. If you are just starting out with binoculars and you don’t typically have a lot of experience in using them, these would make a great first set because they have a lot of features but still provide that basic element for new users. The 25 year guarantee alone makes these binoculars worth purchasing because you know you are not only buying from a brand you can trust but you are also guaranteed a replacement should anything go wrong with it that is out of your control. Great field of view – The 10x magnification and the 50mm lenses provide a good sized 114 metres field of view with an angle view of 65 degrees. Eye-cups are made of rubber. They are of quite good quality and i dont think they would break even if we pull down them often. Glass-wearers need to pull-down the eye-cups for full field of view. For deliveries with specific signature requirements, we will be working with our customers directly to ensure these continue to be met. I had a pair of revelation astro 20x80 binoculars which were big and very difficult hold by hand. So I placed them on my tripod and guess what the image stabilised to be a lot clearer. But... I certainly didn't think of them as an alternative to a telescope. Takes just as long to setup, cant see as much or have as many uses as a telescope. At 20x80 you are really limited to the larger deep sky objects and globulars. I switched to a pair of 7x50 Essenbach binoculars and the difference was astonishing. 20x80 was a novelty but the binoculars were of poor quality and the sharpness didnt match the Essenbach binoculars. Suitable for night viewing – The massive 50mm lenses is perfect for those night goers as it lets a lot more light in than a set of binoculars with smaller lenses does – and it still provides a quality clear view.

Olympus Trooper 10x50 DPS Review | Tested by GearLab

Extra wide 65° field of view enables the user to see more of what they came to see at once. Don’t just focus on a mere section of the world in front of you, see a lot of it! An adapter slot makes it easy to use the DPS R Series binoculars with almost any tripod available today. This versatility is especially welcome in stargazing and bird-watching.The DPS R Series' standard porro-prism design balances convenience and portability with superior cost performance. This combination makes the lineup ideal for a range of pursuits - sightseeing, spectator sports, bird-watching and more. Rubber grip – The rubber coating on these binoculars will ensure you have a firm grip of them at all times. Now lets turn to optical quality, probably which is the most desirable feature of these bins. They are simply superb in optics in this price range. Clarity of the image is very good. I could clearly read tiny letters in a small board 200 feet away.Resolutions and contrast is also very good. Ofcourse they do suffer from C.A but its quite minimal.(I am a newbie and not and optics expert. So, i cant comment more on this issue.).

Except for the 7-15x35 Zoom DPS R model, the lineup has a wide-angle apparent 65° field of view. Incorporating an aspherical lens made of optical resin, the eyepiece cuts distortion dramatically and delivers a large and sharp image. Olympus is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of optical products that includes binoculars, film and digital cameras as well as voice products, endoscopy, microscopy, bioanalytics and diagnostics. Formed in Japan in 1919, under the name of Takachiho Seisakusho, the company initially specialized in microscope and thermometers. The name came from Mt.Takachiho which is believed to be the home of gods and goddesses. Then when the company moved into Europe in 1921, the name was changed to Olympus after Mt. Olympus, which like Mt.Takachiho is believed in Greek mythology to be the home of the twelve supreme gods and goddesses. The Olympus Trooper 10x50 is advertised as having a "wide-angle view" for "keeping up with fast moving subjects." While this intention is excellent, the Trooper 10x50 has a field of view of 342 ft x 1000 yds. This ranks the Trooper # 6 out of 11 binoculars tested when looking at just Field of View. The Bushnell Legacy 8x42 has the largest field of view at 430 ft x 1000 yards, yet at the same time is 1/2 " shorter in width. Even the compact Best Buy winner, the Nikon Trailblazer 8x25 ATB has a larger field of view. Magnification Binoculars can be identified by the numbers that appear in their description, i.e. 10x50, 10x42 or 8x42. This number denotes the magnification (eg. 10x or 8x magnification) by the lens barrel width (42 millimetres). With excellent options for all levels of user, from compact, small models for casual wildlife watchers or theatre goers, to professional waterproof models from Leica and others.

year warranty – The 25 year European warranty will give you a lot of confidence when purchasing these binoculars. For the price these binoculars come at is worth the warranty price alone. These bins are not water-proof. But in my opinion they are more rugged and durability should not be a major concern.Infact, in thise price range, probably there is no bin which come with water proof facility. I dropped them couple of times, but still they work same as the day i bought them.
