About the Author: After her TV debut on BBC One's 'Britain's Best Home Cook', Sarah Woods left her corporate role at a leading pharmaceutical company to pursue a career in food. With plenty of inspiration for breakfasts, light meals, dinners and sweet treats Desi Kitchen features vibrant and delicious dishes for every day and every occasion. Dipna has an exclusive partnership with Restaurant Associates and Levy (part of the Compass group) for whom she is brand Chef for a Punjabi range of dishes she has created for the company.

Inspired by her family’s heritage, Sarah’s cookbook Desi Kitchen is a culinary exploration into the evolution and adaptation of recipes brought to Britain by generations of South Asian immigrants. During the Covid lockdown she established a thriving desi food collection business, and now hosts regular supper clubs and pop-up restaurants in her home town of Wilmslow, in Cheshire. Travelling from the Pakistani community of Glasgow to the Nepalese community of Kent and everywhere in between, the book explores how groups from different regions have blended their food and culture to create a cuisine that is distinct, special and diverse.
