Kubica introduces us to neighbors and friends and Meredith's husband and young son who are beside themselves with worry. The mystery is intense, fast-paced, anxiety-filled and something that I felt extremely invested in throughout.

The atmosphere is often terrifying and I felt the fears of the characters, caught in situations that were inescapable.
