Doom's rapping hits the spot with me; I know some people have a problem with his lazy style but it fits perfectly with the music.

Madlib released Champion Sound with J Dilla, while Doom released two solo albums: Take Me to Your Leader, as King Geedorah, and Vaudeville Villain, as Viktor Vaughn. It also was the second most acclaimed rap album at the time of its release, behind Outkast's Stankonia.Like some others have said, there's a lot of empty wax on the records - I wonder if it could have been organized differently or at a different speed to make use of all the wax. In a recent appearance on Hot 97, Madlib revealed that he was working on putting together some of the Madvillian songs into an LP. My only real motivation for listening to this was that I really liked Operation: Doomsday, so I was interested to hear more of MF Doom's material.
