The interview mainly focused on Oasis's then forthcoming gig in the grounds of Knebworth House, where Ocean Colour Scene were one of the supporting acts.

Again we’d point you to their Deluxe and even Super Deluxe editions where their prolific but high-quality output can be heard spread across 3-CDs/DVD in the latter case, including live sets at Manchester Apollo and Stirling Castle. The band’s career took off soon after thanks to support from Britrock icon Paul Weller, who tapped OCS for shows and guitarist Steve Cradock for recording and touring work.I have read OCS is a group that is still active but the only albums I own are this one, marchin’ already and One From The Modern and the last one of this is not only good for being a Ocean Colour Scene album but also because the way they worked with was all along mellow and laid back but there is also a will to make truly great things happen because of the fact they carry through the idea of making very special and intricate melody structures in the compositions, in the way they churned out an album with a more modest sound.

Welcome to the OwlGull attic, the home of many precious commodities ready to be enjoyed and collected at your pleasure! Marchin’ Already confirmed their arrival as a major force with more original classics in the shape of “Hundred Mile High City”, “Better Day”, “Traveller’s Tune” and “It’s a Beautiful Thing” – the latter pair featuring P. The album also features an incredibly "crisp" overall production that avoids the muddled sound of most modern psych/garage rock. Events rather overtook them when they made their debut disc, Ocean Colour Scene, for Phonogram as the thrill of moving from independence to a major deal was offset by an ill-judged decision to remix them to fit in with the baggy movement. A low-key start to their career was boosted by two things – the endorsement of two of Britain’s biggest pop stars – Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher, and the exposure given to the first single, "The Riverboat Song", by Chris Evans on his hit TV show TFI Friday.

Less laddy than Liam, less hammy than Damon, more sincere than Jarvis … OCS at T in the Park in 1997. Considering their career as a whole, Ocean Colour Scene had some great tunes, and they certainly had more than one string to their bow when it came to musical diversity. B-Sides, Seasides and Freerides (1997) is a mellow, acoustic thing in places and offers a sterling summary of the Moseley Shoals flip sides.

but as you see One From The Modern came out a few years later and can be seen as the better than the other two OCS realeses that has gone through less of a process that they moved into at the time of One From The Modern, I can recommend this one two but as I see it the band became better with the aformentioned album because priorty to give a richer well bit sound that is effective in many levels ´rhat is open to everyone there, and they sound more comfortable there as a band. Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing Jalen perform live knows that he is one of the most captivating performers on today's soul scene.

Ocean Colour Scene are survivors as well as musical experts and they’ve become part of the classic rock fabric whilst continuing to investigate new sounds.
